LAS VEGAS – Sarah Palin ridiculed President Barack Obama at a conservative bloggers conference Friday for his “cocaine snorting” and eating dog as a child.

“That cocaine snorting, and what he ate — Fido? Rufus?” the former Alaska governor said, alluding to Obama’s memoir, “Dreams From My Father,” in which he admits both to cocaine use and being served dog by his stepfather in Indonesia. “I think it’s funny that the cocktail circuit gives me a hard time for eating elk and moose. Anybody here have a pet moose? There’s a difference.”

It was part of a 30-minute speech at the RightOnline conference, in which she criticized the “permanent political class” and the “lamestream media” while applauding conservative bloggers for doing “what too many people in the old media won’t do, can’t do, and that’s tell the truth.”

“The role of new media is more fundamental than just a force for organizing,” Palin told hundreds of bloggers in a conference room at conservative donor Sheldon Adelson’s Venetian hotel. “New media has become a force for activism and information. You do what too many people in the old media won’t do, can’t do, and that’s tell the truth.”

Palin also got a little cheeky, making a pun about polls and poles in Vegas.

“Here we are in Vegas — in Washington, too — they talk a lot about polls. There are a lot of poles in Vegas,” said Palin, referring to strip club poles before addressing the president’s poll numbers. “There is a reason that the figures in those polls are augmented too.” The pun inspired cheers and laughter from the crowd...

I would like to be very careful in my next few words.


"Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin will be the 2012 GOP Nominees in Tampa".


I am neither an alleged spiritual prophet, or a Pollyanna madman.

I have worked much in politics, including with Pat Buchanan, Dole-96, Bush-43 (Florida "Ballot-Chad" Protestor") and Newt Gingrich in Florida this year.

Something in my gut intuition tells me that the O-Romney GOP E-RINO Campaign is in a state of "quiet fear and desperation", albeit in a stealth mode ...

Forgive me for the historic analogy, but the situation has a peculiar feel about it, similar to Gen. Patton's vague suspicions that the German Wermacht was "up to something" just prior to launching the 1944 Battle of the Bulge".


A peculiar quiet has settled-in among the GOP Conservative Leadership ... Newt, Sarah, Santorum, Perry ...

I do not sense that this is the "Quiet of the Vanquished" ... but rather the same "quiet before the storm" that saw General George Washington's surprise defeat of the Hessians at Trenton, a CRUCIAL turning point of the Revolutionary War ...

Newt Gingrich repeatedly discussed this EXACT metaphor during his (active) campaign ... especially the "Victory or Death" aspect ...

From the British Empire's perspective (or Fox News), wasn't Gen. George Washington's conventional military campaign "suspended", "defeated", "financially broke with furious creditors" ... with Gen. Washington personally criticized with having a "monstrous ego", "grandiose delusions of victory", needlessly calling on his troops to fight a "lost cause from the very beginning" ?



I can easily imagine Fox New's Sheppard Smith (and the other recent GOP talking-head) ... telecasting this Fox News report about Gen. George Washington's defeat ... and that of the American Tea Party, as well ... using the above words ... as a part of the British Empire's "official" propaganda messenger boys ...

Coincidentally, these were (approximately) the VERY SAME WORDS that Fox News and Townhall used to describe Newt Gingrich's political decisions over the past few days ...

Again ... those Fox News derogatory terms for your convenience ...

a campaign "defeated", "financially broke with furious creditors" ... with Newt Gingrich having a "monstrous ego", "grandiose delusions of victory", needlessly calling on his troops to fight a "lost cause from the very beginning" ...



We Free Republic Conservatives are well familiar with the literary phrase "Who is John Galt ?"

Remember that Earl Warren, William Brennan (himself a Demonrat), Potter Stewart, Herod Blackmun, Lewis Powell, John Paul Stevens, Sandra Day O'Connor, David "Swish" Souter were all GOP nominees. Nixon also named G. Take a look at today's WaPo and today's George Will column on court appointments. Then find the link for Romney's judicial appointment track record in Massachusetts (a 5 page WaPo very detailed article by some staff writer). Brush up on history and weep for your fraud of a candidate. It does not matter that you like Gingrich and Palin if you are willing to sell the republic down the river.

As of now, CONSERVATIVES have LOST this election IF Romney is nominated. It just does not matter whether the next POTUS is Romney or Obozo: ideological brothers separated at birth. The cold truth is that if it's O v R, either way the next president will be an enemy of conservatism. I hope Palin goes third party and to hell with the "conventioanl wisdom," there's nothing to lose anyway. The worst case scenario would be the president going into office doing battle with the two-thirds that voted against him. If it's Palin who wins in that scenario, a lot of the folks who voted "against" here were just too afraid to support her.

Great speech by Governor Palin. The headline is misleading. Her main point was how biased and left wing agenda driven the media is. Of course they would not want to report on that, proving her point.

I watched her speech and got a better appreciation of what she was saying.

Out of touch. If Romney is so evil, and apparently more evil than Obama in your view, then vote for Obama. Romney was not my favorite — Romney was not my choice of candidate but America has made its choice, it appears.

It is terrifying to think that there are still people that think leaving Obama in the White House is better for America than voting in Romney for one term...followed by a conservative. There are ways to fix America but it does not include Obama. We have all the evidence we need to substantiate that fact.
