All-American Chili
Yield: 8 servings (serving size: 1 1/4 cups chili and 1 tablespoon cheese)
Ingredients
6 ounces hot turkey Italian sausage
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
8 garlic cloves, minced
1 pound ground sirloin
1 jalapeño pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cumin
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 bay leaves
1 1/4 cups Merlot or other fruity red wine
2 (28-ounce) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and coarsely chopped
2 (15-ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
Preparation
Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Remove casings from sausage. Add sausage, onion, and the next 4 ingredients (onion through jalapeño) to pan; cook 8 minutes or until sausage and beef are browned, stirring to crumble.
Add chili powder and the next 7 ingredients (chili powder through bay leaves), and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in wine, tomatoes, and kidney beans; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Uncover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Discard the bay leaves. Sprinkle each serving with cheddar cheese.
Note: Like most chilis, this version tastes even better the next day.
I have found this website to be a very useful source of information on the economy, gold, and silver.

My Favorite Chili Recipe
1.) Walk from the office to the kitchen.
2.) Retrieve a Corelle Ware soup bowl from the china cabinet.
3.) Bring the bowl to the kitchen stove.
4.) Ladle hot chili from the Rachael Ray II Hard-anodized Nonstick 6-quart covered stockpot to the bowl.
5.) Retrieve a generic soup spoon from the silverware drawer.
6.) Bring the bowl of chili and the spoon to kitchen table and sit down.
7.) Reach across the kitchen table and grab a napkin.
8.) Ask God to bless us and our food.
8.) Eat the chili.
10.) Tell Mrs. Chandler how much you enjoy her cooking.
I have come to believe we are rapidly moving toward economic crisis.
Please tell me what else explains:
The POTUS switch to eliminate internet access nationwide, other than to keep us from organizing during civil unrest?
The ongoing military live exercises in major cities (Harrisburg, PA yesterday), complete with black helicopters, people rappelling down ropes, gunfire, etc - other than to desensitize us to the use of military assets in the USA?
Homeland Security buying 7000 fully automatic assault rifles and billions of rounds of ammo?
FEMA Camps for the rebellious types.
Unsustainable debt trajectory?
I could go on, but that’s enough here.
When I add it all up, the only explanation I can find is that the government is expecting HUGE civil unrest, like we see in the Middle East and is preparing to quell it militarily.
Someone might want to post this as a separate thread.

I would vote on Ron Paul because he believes in the Constitution, some things i don,t agree with him on but i can not convince myself he is wrong according to the constitution.
