Posted on 03/10/2013 8:51:50 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush told Chris Wallace on FOX News Sunday that there is no Bush fatigue in America.
Chris Wallace: Do you think there would be any Bush baggage? Do you think that would be a problem?
Jeb Bush: No. I dont think there is any Bush baggage at all. I love my brother. Im proud of his accomplishments. I love my dad. I am proud to be a Bush. And, if I run for president, its not because there is something in my DNA that compels me to do it...

NNNNOOOOOOOOOO! NO JEB NO!!!! ARRRRGGGGGHHHH!
There is Bush fatigue at my house.
You know? for all his lackings I liked GWB, but I am sick to death of this dynasty BS.
No more shrubs !!!!
READ MY LIPS....NO MORE BUSHES!
Imagine 4 generations of Obamas.
You’re right, Jeb. There’s NWO fatigue embraced by your dad and his offspring.
Bushes and Clintons are just two sides of the same coin.
Bush fatigue began with New World Order Bush.
I don’t fatigue of bush, but I fatigue of Bush.
I would like to see Ted Cruz kick Jeb square in the nuts while shaking his hand and smiling.
My Bush fatigue started when Bush1 was in office.
I can’t stand any of them...especially that white-haired, prune-faced, pro-abortion Mama.
Damned strait. I finally woke up.
No more Molly Ivins quotes!!!
Um, Jeb? If there were Bush fatigue, don’t you think you’d be the last to know?
The only thing I agree with the REVrund Jackson is STAY OUT DA BUSHES.
And her damned pearls.
Sorry Jeb NO more compassionate conservatives.......Along with the likes of Obama they’ve done enough to turn this country up-side-down.......
We need a President and Congress willing to do the hard work of righting our floundering Ship of State......
Ugh. This guy is clueless, and the sad part is that the R machine probably doesn’t even care that their rank and file members despise them and everything they’re up to.
We need to seriously make moves for a 3rd party, let these people know they’ll lose if they play chicken with us again.
It be de Nile, dat ol’ man ribbuh.
Michelle 2016? Almost half of Americans says first lady more popular than President Obama
Michelle Obama 2016: Why Not?
Michelle Obama: Future presidential candidate?
I guess I’m of two minds on this. I can understand why people are sick and tired of the Bush family. I also think GW did his best during a very trying time for the entire nation. And I think that Jeb could get Latino voters on the Republican bandwagon.
That being said—America isn’t a monarchy. However it’s also true that you have to have money and backing to run for president.
I guess I’m not sure how I feel about this. I wish I’d seen his comments live.
I actually came to FR just now to see how people are reacting to this episode of “The Bible” on the History Channel. :) And I saw your thread, and well... :)
Take care, and if we don’t “chat” before Easter—I hope you have a lovely holiday with your family. I always appreciate your posts.
Jeb Bush's theory, that there is no "Bush Fatigue," will be demolished no later than New Hampshire ... and I personally doubt it will survive Iowa.
And here I thought it was NOT Bush fatigue but Bush policies fatigue - they do all seem to be too similar! I’d guess it is a family affair.
We’ve had enough of your policies and the go along to get along solution. Time for some abrupt changes in almost all policies, so no thank you - stay at home.
Actually, I am really tired of hearing the Bush name also! Not as much as Obama but you get the idea.
Thank you very much. Yes, it takes a lot of funding to run for national office. See my tagline below.
Dittos. I remember the first time I saw a one on one interview with GWB and saw how funny he was. I got sucked in because I liked him and wanted to believe in him. Can’t say that for his brother or father. There’s nothing there I could ever connect with at all. Then look at Jeb’s idealogy which is a deal breaker anyway. At least GWB stole geronimo’s skull or some skull:-).
This boy is having delusions.
Could be too much sugar.
How's Jed get them on the bandwagon?
Is he going to offer complementary stretch limo rides from Mexico into Texas? Coupons? prizes? Put Pancho Villa's head on a nickle?
What's he going to use as bribes or bait to get them on the bandwagon as you say?
He is right, it's more like Bush nausea.
*Double facepalm* Oh gosh, I forgot about her famous triple strand of pearls.
IMHO they look like the plastic pop beads we played with when I was a kid.
And her taste in clothes is awful...putrid prints.
Jeb, I will vote for Hillary before I vote for you, and I would rather be relieved of my skin than vote for Hillary.
Hillary vs Jeb is the ultimate “Hobson’s Choice”.
Too late, he will be the GOP nominee. And he will be our next president. It has already apparently been decided.
PS. It’s the media that wants Jeb.
Like McCain, and Romney.
That gives me fatigue!
It really is. It is literally a one “person” campaign, and I use the word person very, very loosely.
GWB went to West Texas to prove himself.
He was out on the plains doing it alone, because he felt he had too.
GWB never struck me as a fortunate Son.
Jeb however enjoys his position.
Pappy bush loves kenny bunkport and Jeb, well Jeb just aint got the touch.
The bottom line is I would have a burger and a beer with GWB.
Hell, I would do the same with clinton.
But GHWB? JB? Obama?
Awww Hell Naw!
Of course if I was having a burger and beer with Clinton I would be watching his hands the entire time.
Jeb, your brother (aka: “The Compassionate Conservative”) holds a good deal of responsibility for what's happened to the GOP. GWB was a dimwit who let the Dems attack him and the GOP without even a hint of a response. In layman's terms, your brother acted like a pu$$y around the Dems!
We are not only fatigued with your family in public service...we're sick of you as well!
He is delusional, if he believes that.
Obama won reelection based on Bush fatigue — even after Obama had been in office 4 years.
Bush fatigue set in around 2006 and has continued since then.
The fact that Jeb has to mention that there is no Bush fatigue in the country is only an indication that he knows full well that there definitely is plenty of it.
Egad, not another islam-is-a-religion-of-peace, chummy-with-the-Saudis Bush.
I wouldn't call it Bush fatigue, Hell I wouldn't even call it RINO fatigue.
I think more precisely it is called CINO fatigue.
That was not gw’s failings. His failings were that he’s a big government liberal who was pushing his one-world globalist agenda. He flooded America with third world savages and got up and lied about ragheads, calling theirs a religion of peace. He was and is a dishonest, corrupt, stupid human being. Because of him the repugnant party is finished.
Well, it looks like the go-p’s are going to go with Jeb.
That isnt going to work and I do not care to live out my days is a communist regime as Jeb is nothing but pure fail.
As best as I can tell, we need to put our little noggins together, pick a for real butt kickin conservative, put in writing the 6 to 10 concise reasons why that individual should be nominated.
Everybody damn well get behind them and repeat - repeat - repeat.
Call the talk shows, email the commentaries and keep on the message relentlessly.
I can assure everyone here that whomever the individual is that is selected, 80% of those here working on this issue will not select that individual as their first choice.
You will, however be willing to select that individual as your second or third choice.
If this can’t be done I do not see much in the way of a future for this Republic.
Anyone care to start?
I said in 99 that dubya would leave the boarder open and spend like a mad man.
After 9/11 I really thought he would close the boarder out of necessity.
I was right in 99 wrong after 9/11.
You can look at my old post I caught a lot of crap around here in 99. This time I won't pull the gop lever just because it's gop.
First of all, thanks, 2DV. :)
And as for Jeb—IIRC, he speaks Spanish, I believe, and has a Latina wife, though I may be mistaken.
I’ve maybe been watching too many episodes of “Breaking Bad”—my son loves that show. I lived in TX for a while. I realize there is a “no-man’s zone” just north of the border.
I’m not sure what the answer to all of this is—but the Reps have to get more voters. JMHO.
See my (long-running) tagline.
