I figured I would get a red-blooded Canadian to respond. :-D
Since I live in the Texas of the South, I understand and agree with your sentiments. Your region of Canada and our section of the country would get along just fine. Everything you mention is what we call another day in Texas. Ted Cruz is an excellent import from Canada and we are glad to have him. Can you please take Jim Carrey back?

If you ever get the chance, come on down and visit us sometime. Texans, for the most part, are very friendly. Just make sure it is not during the Summer. Your Maple Leaf might melt. LOL.

my best fried married a texan, I was there before, it was hot lol. No, we won’t take Carey back, what kind of question is that? After the dust settles, we can deport them with the muslims they all seem to like so much haha.

Cruz seems to be a pretty good guy and I’m glad he’s making them establishment types a bit uncomfortable.

I was only kidding about Carey. I think he’s just being controversial to kick-start his career again. He has the right under the First Amendment to say whatever foolish thing he wants to say. However, it doesn’t take much moral courage to spout the same non-sense that everyone else does in leftist Hollywood.

Anyhow, I am happy to see that Canada is definitely drifting away from the foolish leftism of the past. Unfortunately, my country is going the other way right now.

Whatever happens, we in Texas will not go quietly. We still revere the U.S. Constitution and have not forgotten our history.

I have nothing but respect and good feelings towards Canada. Although, we don’t always agree on everything. Canada and the USA are friends, or more precisely, like family.

I’ve always considered the US family, which is why I’ve smacked more than one idiot who says retarded things. For example after Sandy Hook, some guy at work said only in America, freaking idiots. I took offense to that. He quickly learned the error of his ways.

Trudeau’s son Justin is now leader of the liberal party, pray they don’t get into power, his dad ruined this country. He was the one that brought in the 1982 charter of rights. He also went after the west hard and was responsible for interest rates well into the 20 percentile.

Also know you folks aren’t alone, it’s not Americans that stand to lose if freedom is lost there, there is more at stake than just the US.

“He claims citizenship at birth, having been born to a fully, unequivocally American citizen mother, who happened to be working in Canada at the moment of his birth.

It is that parental status, rather than on which side of a border, that he relies on along with the Founders intent by using the term “natural-born”.”

So, what you’re saying is that a dual citizen (or possibly a tri-citizen) = natural born citizen?

Thanks for putting out a good word for us. I have heard some of the criticism of Canadians have towards Americans. Some of it is valid while a lot of it isn’t. Most of the invalid criticism is much of the same sort of critiques we “conservativish” people hear from the liberal coasts and our Northeast. We don’t have to repeat those sterotypes. We know them all too well.

We, in Texas, don’t pay much attention to that. We are too busy living our lives, zealously protecting and enjoying our freedoms. If you ever decide to come to Texas again, send me a message. I will give you some suggestions on places to visit.

For the path we've chosen, that time will be here sooner than we think, for US as a nation and for us as individuals.

We do not live well since we lost our way, and with that choice comes a price.

We will not die well either and, for whatever reasons, we live to die these days, dazed and confused.

This is a good time to get one's house in order...and to remember the lessons from Sunday school.

As of 2008 being born abroad is no longer an impediment to the Presidency.

It will if the candidate is a Republican. Besides, the left swears on a stack of Communist Manifestos that Hussein was born in Hawaii.

I’m starting to think Rubio’s momma dropped him on his head too many times as a kid.
