Obama proudly repeated to the press the command he gave to the huddled bureaucrats: "The website SHALL be fixed by December 1." A real executive knows this is a useless command. The bureaucrats would have gladly had it working by October 1, if it had been within their power to make it happen. It clearly wasn't.

What a real executive says is: "December 1 is a critical date. What can I do to help you remove obstacles to meeting that date." Obama is not an effective leader, he is an ineffective bully.

In the old system, 85% of Americans had health insurance, and 87% were satisfied with their health care. Good luck trying to run on the “evils” of that system, especially after getting an up-close-and-personal look at DemocratCare.

Can someone tell me how the subsidies work? Do you get a check every month? Every year? How do you compel people to use the money for insurance? Does it only exists on paper?

The subsidies are called "tax credits". If you income is low enough to qualify for $100 per month of tax credit on your $400 premium you pay $300 to your insurance company each month and the Federal Government pays $100 to your insurance company each month. It's all organized through the website portal, and that part of it (payments from the government to the insurance company) is not only not working, the code isn't yet written.

There was an item posted yesterday from PJ Media--an article by David Steinberg entitled "Rigging the Future." He shows how the website is set up to create voter databases for the Democrats to use...as well as to enroll new Medicaid recipients in a way that bypasses the states' ability to screen out people who are not eligible for Medicaid.

The longer the website doesn't work, the fewer people in the database...but it makes sense that Obama and the Democrats don't want to change those features of the sign-up process.
