The establishment GOP ignores the base, which is why many of us have stopped donating to them, and donate directly to conservative candidates instead.
Then some rank and file Republicans vote for candidates, like Romney, because they THINK GOP moderates are the only ones who can win.
The Dems sure don't!
Yup, moderates don’t win, whether they are Dems or Republicans.
I know a woman who answers that description
“The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin.”
But for that sabotage, Gov Palin could have been the leader of the free world in 2012 and ready to get reelected in 2016
