Here’s The Spot Landrieu And The Louisiana Democrat Party Are Running On Black Radio…

…courtesy of our friend Rick Shaftan, who is cataloguing the demagoguery on the airwaves this cycle.

(AUDIO/VIDEO-AT-LINK)

The ad says the stock market was at an “all-time low” before Barack Obama took over as president, among other things.

It’s worth commenting that this ad isn’t running in a broader market, where the ridiculous claims and hyperbolic tone would engender a more negative reaction. Landrieu’s campaign doesn’t want that kind of scrutiny.

We can expect a good deal more of this, as it’s the calling card of Landrieu’s campaign boss Ryan Berni. Berni had this to say to Gannett after Sarah Palin campaigned with Bill Cassidy at a Republican unity rally in Monroe…

"Maness’ ability to get 14 percent of the vote shows how “unimpressed conservatives were with Bill Cassidy,” said Ryan Berni, Landrieu’s campaign manager.

“They can certainly bring all the national Republicans that they want to into this race, but Bill Cassidy will not be able to hide from his record here,” Berni said. “We’re going to certainly drive that home.”

Of course, Cassidy wasn’t elected to Congress until 2008 so the claims made about how terrible the Republicans were before Obama took office (strangely, it doesn’t note that there was a Democrat-controlled Congress in the last two years of George W. Bush’s presidency) don’t particularly reflect Cassidy’s record. Rather, it sounds like Berni is full of BS and is happily Grubering the electorate.

In other words, it’s a typical Democrat campaign. The polls show those don’t work in statewide elections around here anymore.

The president insisted over the weekend that he had not changed his position.

You mean "She who accepted the Bribes"

I noted in the news that protesters have gathered outside Landrieu’s brownstone in Washington. I wonder if she owns the whole thing?

I’m suspicious that it’s just news agitators showing up to keep Landrieu in the News and to showcase her vote for Keystone pipeline. Nothing in the news is as it seems, it seems.

Yep, the same old “VOTE FOR ME AND I’LL SET YOU FREE” type ad directed at the black community. Notice how they never actually succeed in setting anyone free!

I think she needs to run a commercial stating that we should send a black to central America for every illegal Obama gives a job to here.

My guess is she’s not for illegals taking blacks jobs?

I hope Cassidy is putting $ into those black radio stations to counter her ads. They may not vote for him but they should be disincentivized to come out to vote for her. There isn’t, and never has been, a reason for blacks to support Landrieu. All she can offer are lies against her opponent.

With black voters, Mary Landrieu is all about Barack Obama. But, is this the message she presents to white voters? The success of the Democrats in playing the race card is now boomeranging on them, as white voters are coming over to our side in big majorities.

I hope we increase our percentage of the black vote, not because we pander to them as black voters, but because more of them embrace our values. We are already having good success with Americans of Asian and Hispanic origins, and it’ll just take more time with Americans of African origins.

So Mary Burke views LA voters the way Gruber views American voters.

If she’s going after black voters she’s wasting her time; she’s already picked those trees bare. There’s just no more black votes for her to get, and clearly she understands that she’s toast just waiting to pop.
