New York Republican Rep. Peter King, who is considering his own bid for the White House, mocked Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz's announcement that he was running in 2016 and said the Texas Republican isn't qualified to serve as president.
"Shutting down the federal government and reading Dr. Seuss on the Senate floor are the marks of a carnival barker not the leader of the free world," King said in a written statement on Monday.
King's statement references a Cruz speech on the Senate floor that last more than 20 hours, railing against Obamacare in 2013.
The New York Republican has been a vocal critic of Cruz' since the government shutdown that fall, blaming him for the standoff and calling him a "fraud."(continued)

I was going to post EXACTLY that then decided to read the thread first.
Though I had some reservation about Cruz getting in (I love him in the Senate), he has the big attention now. What I specially look forward to is when Ted goes mano on mano with these megalomaniac squishes like Peter King
Weasels like King hate Cruz because they fear him. Cruz has the courage of his convictions and they don’t. They are fearful and thus enraged because Cruz’s courage and eloquence stands in stark contrast to their cowardice.

I remember when Cruz had all those armed guards working overtime to ensure that open-air memorials were free and clear of pesky visitors and making sure that no one on the highways were looking at the Grand Canyon or other viewpoints.
Takes one to know one Peter King! Ted Cruz must have said something to Peter years ago, that remains stuck in his craw. What could he have said? That Peter K. is ‘in the sunset of his (less than illustrious) career, or that Peter is “fat like me! Ha Ha!, it’s a joke Pete, lighten up! “
