DAVID WEBB, GUEST HOST: It is battle for the White House as anticipation builds and more Republican candidates throw their hat into the ring. Many are wondering how this presidential election will be different from the past years.
But no matter which Republicans run, my next guest says liberals -- get that, liberals -- should not be able to moderate any of the primary debates. Come on, Ann Coulter, the author, columnist, and liberals, really, shouldn't be allowed to moderate? Shouldn't we go into the fire?
ANN COULTER, AUTHOR AND COLUMNIST: I didn't know that's what we were talking about, but I'm happy to take that on.
(LAUGHTER)
COULTER: No, I mean in some cases their behavior was so egregiously bad, as with the Candy Crowley incident, that's a very important -- there are only three debates between the Republican nominee and the Democrat nominee. In the middle of the debate the moderator not only says that Romney is wrong and Obama is right, but she's wrong and admits that after the debate.
As I've said before, I used to debate a lot. Now liberals won't debate me. But thinking about that, I don't know what you do in that situation if you're Romney. Some conservatives have said, and I think they're wrong about this, that, oh, Romney should have been tougher, he should have said, no, hang on, Candy Crowley, you're wrong. But you remember as a New Yorker what happened to Rick Lazio when he so much as walked across the stage to hand Hillary a piece of paper. Oh, it's so mean. He's being macho. You can't if you're trying to win over independent voters and women voters, you can't be challenging a female moderator like that. That was outrageous....

I have to agree with Ann this time.
Dick Morris w/o the foot fetish? (That we know of.)
"We are seeing a great awakening.
A national movement of We the People, brought together by what unites us -
a shared love of liberty, and an understanding of
the unlimited potential of free men and free women."Ted Cruz
COULTER:
As I’ve said before, I used to debate a lot. Now liberals won’t debate me.

...and conservatives don’t want to listen to you.
Ann,
There was a time...
...before you supported Romney.
Ed D
Everyone makes a mistake once and a while—I forgive Anne. Now its time to support Ted!
So . . . she’s wrong on the point she’s making?
I don’t know of a single politician or pundit that I’d agree with on every issue, perhaps even on most issues.
But I’ll listen. And, yes, I’m a conservative, who went absolutely bonkers for Ronald Reagan (I was in the Army in the Carter years, and Reagan breathed life into every man and woman I knew in uniform—our chests were near bursting in pride over the Gipper after what JC did to us. But I didn’t agree with everything Mr. Reagan said or did. Just had to acknowledge he’d have to compromise to get his programs passed.)
I read the piece. Ann was spot-on concerning debate moderators.
That is all.
Yes it is time to support Ted but it’s always nice to let the loser Rand go first .
If Ann will support Ted (and eat a sandwich) this election ... I’ll forgive her for Romney
The Jeb photo: Good grief! The gravid female in the red dress looks awful. Why can’t pregnant women these days wear decent clothing? We don’t need to see your navel or any other bumps.
Regardless of how many kids the GOP nominee has, their photo coverage will pale in comparison to that of grandchild Clinton, soon to be the most famous baby on earth.
You thought the Jeb pic was odd too? Some of those folks come off as nice - there is something off in the Jeb Photo...BTW The two girls in the Fiorina photo are the Husband’s by a previous marriage.
Point taken.
Thanks for your cordial response. Too often a well meant point leads to p****** contests. Everybody on FR should probably pledge to unite on the salient conservative points. We’re facing dangerous times. Better to do it together, m’FRiend.
Based upon the issues of importance to me, Senator Ted Cruz is my current choice for the GOP nomination. He is the guy I think might actually get something done....or at least will really try. Unlike others that have promised and then immediately forgot what they promised once elected.
Now, to be a little humorous. I just noticed that in this photo of Ted’s family...Ted reminds me a little of Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Not a flattering photo.
Yes, I am sure a lot of them are nice. Unfortunately, nice is not enough of a qualification to lead the country.
We need a man who is honest and principled, who loves this country, and who puts the survival and the welfare of this nation above all others. A man who fits this description will safeguard our Constitution and its concomitant rights and obligations, preserve our institutions, and defend our borders. He will not say something just to get elected only to turn around and do something to harm the country.
