Trump better set corporatist Cruz on the right track on visas and retention of illegals and trade.
Wonder if corporatist Cruz would agree with Trump’s statement yesterday that NAFTA was a disaster?

Cruz way off on those issues.

My sister has voted democrat for 30 years. She is thinking voting for Trump this time. She will not vote for any other republican in a million years. She said Trump is a very unique candidate. I have argued with her in every election to stop voting democrat, to no avail.

I know this is just anecdotal, but if you knew how hard headed my sister is, her willingness to consider Trump absolutely shocked me to the core. Are there many more like her? I will be surprised if there are not.

The one that sees him as a complete pain in the a** and wants to unload him using any means possible.

You’d see Post Turtle pull out all the stops to get him confirmed, just to get him out of his hair.

Without Trump Bush would be the ‘leader of the pack’ and 10- 15 million extra people wouldn’t have tuned into the debate and seen Cruz.
Of course they saw Carson too, but Cruz has made hay of his debate exposure in the south- where it will do the most good for him IMO- and apparently his.
3rd in Iowa isn’t at all bad for Cruz anyway. Walker should be walking away with Iowa.

how can a natural born canadian become president of the United States?

why do i say that? because by Ted’s own ‘logic’, he’s a natural born US citizen due to having that citizenship at birth. this would also mean he was also a natural born citizen of Cuba, Canada, and maybe Britain.

only one problem. last i checked, the whole point of using the phrase in the Constitution was due to the fact that you can only be a natural born citizen of ONE country.

I see two serious problems with this analysis. Trump does not take seconds or play second fiddle. He plays for top dog honors only. Second, Trump has the magnetic charisma to win voters across party lines, Cruz will never have this board attraction.

In the past few years, which branch of government has been most efficient and effective in bringing about fundamental transformation in the US?

(hint, it is neither the executive or legislative)

Put Cruz on the court and he’s there for the next 35-40 years.

Why do I have to post this again?

Is Ted Cruz a natural-born citizen eligible to serve as president? [Yes! And I support him! JimRob]

So, now even Ted Cruz is beginning to look good the the establishment? I hope this is right, because I think Cruz will be more effective fighting the entrenched establishment than Donald Trump. Not, that Trump’s not doing a great job right now!

If Walker can’t win, place or show in Iowa, he is done. It is his nearest neighbor. One state away. He can’t place above fourth in Iowa his $ will dry up fast.

With Trump in the race, you need $350 million to just get through the primary. Trump receive that mush alone in free TV from the networks and news stations. He is the lead story and often the second story EVERY News cycle.

He also doesn’t have to introduce himself to anyone. He has close to total name recognition. Everyone else has to spend millions on how they are ‘one of us’ ‘born to a mailman and a teacher from the heartland’.

It is all about Money and Bush’s money will not save him as his 100% name recognition also carries 75% desire not to repeat a Bush presidency for the third time.

Blah, blah, blah. So if Ronald Reagan, George Washington or Jesus Christ came back today you’d question their bona fides? Go ahead and vote for Bush or Hillary, like you was planning to do.

Normally, you might be right. But - you’re not taking all of the angry voters into account. And, they’re on both sides of the line, informed and uninformed, but they’re all disgusted with what we got.

I think either or Cruz or Trump could sweep up a lot of the disaffected voters.

Author’s missing the flip side, when Donald slices and dices Walker, or Perry or Paul or most of the others, and they leave the race; Trump is not going to pick up their supporters— they’ll hate him. They go to Cruz.

I believe there are a lot of Democrat voters who, like your sister, will vote for Trump. There are some in my family and my husband’s family, as well.

Works for me. As long as the Paris Hilton of politics doesn’t get the Republican nomination and Cruz does I don’t care how we get there.

Walker and Perry will endorse Trump. They are both in need of a government check and a job in the Trump administration would be imperative. Particularly for Walker who would make a great Secretary of Labor. He has lots of debt, more than he may be able to pay off by being a lobbyist in Madison.

As for Paul. He may have to drop out just to save his job in the Senate.

How much more of a faux pas could Trump make? He is slamming everyone with both hands and slapping down BS about him and still polling twice as high as his nearest competitor.

Is that a faux pas? I think not.

Yes indeed. I'd like 6 or 7 of the like on there.

not only would that make America Great, it would keep America alive and well.

Presidents are fleeting. The "law rulers" are not.
