The clear hatred of the Republican establishment for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and the mainstream medias genuine fear that the articulate Cruz could be the nominee of the Republican Party in 2016 were clearly revealed in a telling exchange on NBCs Meet the Press.
Charlie Blackwho worked on Ronald Reagans presidential campaigns in 1976, 1980, and 1984 before serving as senior political adviser to the 1992 re-election campaign of George H. W. Bush and chief campaign adviser for Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in 2008bluntly told host Chuck Todd that Donald Trump will not be the nominee of the Republican Party.
Having dismissed Trumps candidacy, Todd then turned to Alex Castellanoswho worked on the Dole campaign in 1996, the George W. Bush campaigns of 2000 and 2004, and helped found Purple Strategies, a company headed by three Republicans and three Democrats.
Todd made it a point to exclude Cruz from his short list of alternatives to Trump....

We’re supposed to care what Chuck U. Todd thinks?
Remember that the GOP-E barely tolerates Scott Walker. They would rather have Jeb!, Chris Christie, or Kasich. Walker is their last choice on the list, and the GOP-E may still backstab him in the end.
How does it go..?
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Mahatma Gandhi
Thank goodness Ted is a young man.
Fox is good at ignoring him as well, they have this blond bimmbo on from time to time,a pollster or something and both times I have seen her,she has named every other candidate and has not mentioned Cruz name once,he who must not be named
These arrogant snobs really need to be taught a lesson and Trump will give it to them with our help. Before this is over I want these kind to be roundly humiliated, ostracized, and bankrupted as political commentators.
The MSM, including Fox, have decided that the name CRUZ will not be mentioned. Free press....LOL
That used to be a standard indicator of who our best candidate was here at FR.
I miss those days.
The good old days when FReepers stood for things like the constitution.
Yeah.. THOSE DAYS.
