The Club are "one-issue" conservatives, and show a terrible lack of understanding or appreciation for other issues. They are making themselves look stupid right now, which is too bad, because they do have legitimate points.

It is an old story. One-issue fanaticism tends to be self-destructive, even when the issue is a valid one.

For starters, the Club does not seem to care about ethnic or cultural continuity, which to a great many people will trump the purely material economic theories of the Club. (As a lifelong Conservative, I am in that latter category.

While I have been thanking the Lord for Trump's recent actions, no "pun" is intended, above. My feelings about "puns," were, as I recall, the same as Edgar Allan Poe's.

I agree, good post! I never thought one issue are good for conservatism. Whether it is guns, abortion, illegals, over spending, taxes, environment, etc. To be a good conservative is to look at all issues on which a candidate stands.
