I love Cruz and hoped he would have caught fire by now. However, while he is intellectually fantastic on the Constitution and most issues he has failed to "emotionally" connect to the people. He doesn't seem to have a true Warrior mentality. Our Founders started a D*amn revolution!! It doesn't get any more Warrior than that.

I like very much the effect he's having shaking things up on many of the key issues, something we haven't seen since the beginnings of the Tea Party. But he is not the guy I would want in the WH with all that's going on today, especially overseas.

He also comes across as way over-sensitive to criticism and thus easily provoked to react and blurt out stuff he may regret later. ie, give an misinformed or oversimplified 'solution' to an important problem.

Wow! Great compilation. Thank you. I knew there were good reasons why I want this man in the White House.

You’re welcome.

It came from this website:

You can check any politician’s record and positions there.

This is erroneous - Trump is very strong on the 2nd Amendment. These haven’t been updated for eons. Bogus!

I agree with your diagnosis and your solution.

I did say that, while Cruz is the best I’ve seen in decades, he is not perfect. I was referring to his desire to expand the H1b program dramatically which I think is indefensible in the present climate. In any climate, really.

And while I loved his extended attack on McConnell for snookering him on TPA, the fact that he *could* be snookered by McConnell on anything surprised me.

He says a lot of the right things on the border but he needs to toughen it up and he needs to revise his views on H1b. Actually, I don’t even like Trump’s position on H1b, he wants to expand it to. Granted that he wants to force companies to pay H1b’s more than Americans, but thats easily beaten with a little fancy bookkeeping. The program should not be expanded at all, not while Americans are standing on street corners out of work.

These ratings are based on deeds, not words.

For Conservative Review ratings, they are compiling many years worth of actions, not one year, to prevent career politicians from voting conservatively on their re-election year to bump their ratings in order to fool their constituents back home.

Ted Cruz will be toast when the Job killing TPP becomes an issue later this year. His support for the enabling TPA will sink his campaign. Plus he is for amnesty which is another stone in his pocket.

"If Trump does not win the nomination, where do his supporters go?"

Third party only Trump gets immigration and trade right. The rest (including Cruz) are all more of the same. And Cruz will be skinned alive by the rats on is NBC problem.

Why do you give Cruz a green on immigration when Cruz supports amnesty for illegal here?

What a joke. Look at all the “conservatives” who have been elected and turned into mush once they got to DC. And, you are telling me their ratings remain high as conservative based on their past positions? Like I said - bogus! Politicians have fooled their electorate time after time.

"McConnell for snookering him on TPA"

McConnell did not snooker him (Cruz) he was all for it and even coauthored an editorial with Paul Ryan supporting TPA. Cruz came up with his lame McConnell lied excuse when he caught holly hell on the Internet over his vote. Really sleazy move IMHO. I lost a lot of respect for Cruz on his entire handling of the TPA thing.

Why do you give Cruz a green on immigration when Cruz supports amnesty for illegal here?

Ted Cruz: ‘When It Comes to Immigration: Legal, Good; Illegal, Bad’

Ted Cruz Reminds Americans Rubio, Walker, and Bush, All Supported Amnesty For Illegal Immigrants (video)

There should be no pathway to citizenship for those who are here illegally. I don’t support amnesty. And I find it really striking at the Cleveland debate, that divide was evident for all to see. Let me step back for a second. Let me talk about the amnesty issue. Because I actually think the amnesty issue is broader than just another policy issue on which people can disagree. President Obama famously said his goal was to fundamentally transform the United States of America. And one of the critical tools he is using to try to do that is to allow millions of people to come here illegally. There’s seven billion people on the face of the planet, and an awful lot of them would like to come here. Now if they want to come here legally and follow the law, great. You and I both come from immigrant families who followed the law.

But the Obama plan is to allow millions to come in illegally and try to grant them amnesty, grant them a pathway to citizenship, and they believe they’ll vote Democrat in perpetuity to keep the big-government Democrats in power. It is a transformational policy, if amnesty goes through. It changes who we are as a country, if Obama and the Democrats succeed in this. And what’s striking in Cleveland, is a majority of the candidates on that stage have advocated amnesty, and not just advocated amnesty, but advocated it for years. Many of them vocally, vigorously, publicly. As you mentioned, you heard my friend Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) join Chuck Schumer in authoring the Chuck Schumer amnesty plan. In doing so, he was enthusiastically supported by Jeb Bush. In doing so, he was enthusiastically supported by Scott Walker. And President Obama.

Both CNN and Politifact did fact-checks of my statement that a majority of candidates on that stage have supported amnesty, and both of them concluded, yep, it’s true. They went through the records of one after the other after the other. And let me tell you why that matters so much. We remember back in 2012, where we nominated a candidate, Mitt Romney, a good man. But someone who had proposed Romneycare. And the problem was, when it came to the general election, when you have a candidate who’s been an advocate for health insurance plan almost exactly like Obamacare, our nominee wasn’t able to make the election about Obamacare. He wasn’t able to challenge Barack Obama effectively on Obamacare, because he had written a proposal just like it.

The same thing is true in this instance. If we nominate a candidate who’s been a vigorous, vocal, and aggressive advocate of amnesty, then the Republican candidate won’t stand up and challenge Hillary Clinton on amnesty, and certainly won’t do so effectively. Because anyone who tries to do so, the response will be: Gosh, just a couple of years ago, before you were running for president, you agreed with me [that] we should grant amnesty.

I have never supported amnesty and never will support amnesty. I believe in the rule of law. You know, at the end of the day, these principles aren’t complicated. When it comes to immigration: Legal, good; illegal, bad.

“I’m very angry with Ted Cruz right now, so yes, I’m going to reference his remarks.”

You have appeared to be angry about Senator Cruz since he announced he was running. What is behind your anti-Cruz agenda?

“If the GOPe had followed Ted’s leadership and stood up to Obama we would not have Obamacare and illegal amnesty today.”

The GOPe is pro-Obamacare and amnesty (illegal or otherwise.)

What kind of dirty “deed” did Trump ever do vis a vis personal armaments? Did he grab anybody’s guns?

You accuse on the basis of “deeds” so it is logical to ask that you please produce.

Face it you are comparing apples (career office holders) to oranges (never held office before).
