ccording to the transcript of Donald Trump's interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes, Mr. Trump favors a single payer health care plan in certain situations. During the interview, Pelley asked Mr. Trump what his plan was to replace Obamacare would look like. Mr. Trump responded, saying "I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now." When Pelley pressed Mr. Trump further about who would pay for this coverage, Mr. Trump said "the government’s gonna pay for it."

Don’t be fooled, the premise of the article is a lie. He isn’t supporting single payer. He’s clearly describing a private competitive system that will cover most people. The “they” he’s talking about the government paying for are people who can’t otherwise afford healthcare. It really just proves the “conservative media” can be just as dishonest as the left-stream media.

I’m not ignoring your facts, I agree with you! How else can I say it?

If a politician can’t hold a position consistent from January, then I will treat his claims with some skepticism.

As I said, it’s so bad as to be unworthy of reply.

"I said "ever"."

No you did NOT say "ever";

I don’t try to get the state to steal people’s property for me.

I don’t get multimillion dollar tax abatements on my taxes. I don’t brag about buying politicians. I’ve never endorsed a 14.25% wealth tax, abortion on demand or single!payer healthcare.

When you said that, I went back and your post made perfect sense.

Sorry. When you’re talking to a number of people, you sometimes lose track of who’s who.

Didn’t mean to give you a hard time.

I did notice your post didn’t seem to make sense, but that is also the case at times when you deal with people. Sometimes they do veer off a bit, so I that that might have been the problem.

Then when you corrected me, it did make perfect sense.

Thank you.

No—Trump has said he’d repeal Obamacare and replace it with free market soutions, such as interstate competition.

He would not, owever, repeal Medicaid—none of the candidates would.

What mess Obamacare replaced? That’s a liberal argument.. what we had was far better than Obamacare and with a few tweaks it would have been fine (i.e. open competition across states).

Then pick out one thing I said that wasn’t accurate.

Should be very easy. You’re trashing it in total.

“It was supposed to be health care reform NOT health insurance reform.”

As Cringing as noted, it was a mess before, and a bigger mess now. And as you noted - and I believe, it was NEVER about health insurance reform. The end goal was health CARE. So in some people’s minds, the insurance companies are still getting rich, the doctor’s are still getting rich, and the people are getting stuck with huge health care costs - so “obviously” the government needs to take care of things like they do in Europe and other parts of the world where medication and procedures are cheap.

Of course cheap comes at a price, with long waits for medical procedures, not the greatest care in the world, etc.

There are people who are destitute who needs basic health care. A country as rich as ours should be able to provide a modicum of health care to those unable to provide it for themselves, eg the very young and the very old.

The waste in our country is astounding.

this is going to highlight for everyone here just WHO the Liberal hacks are here on FR. Its just simply amazing how stupid these people really are...

I cant wait to see the justifications for trumps communist beliefs, from FR “conservatives” who support this weasel.

So far we have had someone fall back on the GOPe oldie... “the conservative is unelectable”

And another actually insinuates that communism is better than what it replaced.
