Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz sought on Tuesday to link his rival Donald Trump to Democrat Hillary Clinton, saying it would make her supporters happy if the real estate mogul were to win the Republican nomination.
Trump had cited constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe in arguing that because Cruz, the U.S. senator from Texas, was born in Canada, he might not be eligible to be U.S. president.
"It is more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal left-wing judicial activist Harvard law professor who is a huge Hillary supporter," Cruz told reporters after a rally at a gun range in New Hampshire.
He said in the last couple of presidential elections, Democrats were able to run against the Republican of their choice, leading to two victories for President Barack Obama.
"It starts to make you think, gosh, why are Hillary's strongest supporters backing Donald Trump?" Cruz said.

Indeed, VanDeKoik! Well, Rush is, afterall GOP first. I do not recall him ever discussing truthfully Club for Growth, Grover Norquist and other open border hacks.
Fact is, if it were not for Trump, NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, including the media, Hannity, Levin or Rush would be talking about immigration or trade fiasco’s like TPA/TPP. You wouldn’t hear a word in the debates.
Trump listens. Evidently the ONLY one in politics today, other than Jeff Sessions, willing to put his ASS on the line to tell you the truth is Donald Trump.
He LISTENS...and evidently he listened in 2004, during the debates of the presidential race when Bob Shieffer of CBS stated that the most questions he got from the PUBLIC to ask the candidates was about.....

Glad to hear that. I think Cruz should make this a hallmark of his campaign and bring it up Thursday at the debates. If explained well, and he can certainly do that, it would resonate very well with most Americans. Another "fed up with D.C. and here's what We can do" meme.
Cruz also ought to have Mark Levin with him at campaign events re Article V messaging. Would be a winner combination. Levin would explain it as only he can. . Think of the possibilities. . Would be a dynamite message. .
We the People would have some representation finally. . campaign ads, signs, again, if communicated well. Who better 'case presenters' than Cruz and Levin?

Donald Trump said last night that he probably holds a grudge too long. So there you have it! A Trump weakness.
