I have been struggling to decide who to vote for president. This field that was hyped as the "most talented in a generation" has turned out to be a field full of mediocrities. Standing atop the field until last night was a vulgar carnival barker and reality TV star. Instead of a debate on ideas, we have mindless sloganeering and empty words.
Donald Trump absolutely cannot be the Republican nominee. Trump is not a conservative, he has not fought with conservatives, and he has actively aided and funded the enemies of conservatives. It's more than that though. To nominate Trump would be to reward a demagogue for his demagoguery. We're not going to rehash his idiotic proposals and vulgar remarks, but someone like that should not be representing conservatives and a major political party.
Now the task at hand is to support someone who actually can defeat Trump. I hesitated to align behind a presidential candidate and I even gave strong thought to not voting in the Louisiana primary on March 5th. But I can't sit on the sidelines and let Trump get the nomination unopposed....

There’s nothing mindless or empty about Trump’s words. His messaging is simple, but he has enormous competence and vision to make his slogans anything but empty.
Over the last couple days he’s brought up an issue that no other candidate even knew was an issue - the fact that we could save up to 300 billion a year in medicaire/Medicaid expenditures by renegotiating pricing with drug companies. These are the kind of powerful common sense and practical solutions a guy like Trump brings to the table.

I’m voting for the Conservative. I can’t vote for anyone who rationalizes that it’s OK to use taxpayer dollars to fund Planned Parenthood.
I’m contributing to Ted Cruz, supporting him in other ways, praying for him, and I will vote for him in the TX primary.
How many kids with cancer did Kevin Boyd fly on his private jet to a hospital for treatment?

Cruz has done more to STOP the crap that Trump use to support than Trump can hope to pass as president. because all he can do is hope to find a sponsor for his law and get it through the house and senate. THEN he can sign it.
Trump sounds like a dictator to me. We have one of those now. We don’t need another.

Nothing sore about the outcome finishing within 1 point of expectations for everyone but Kasich and Marco. No need to be a jerk all the time. Two weeks ago, it was at 33-11-11-11-10-8. Marco hopped up to 16 in the recent polls, but then his debate flub seemed to have cost him that temporary bump. It ended at 34-16-11-11-10-8. Nothing to be sad about at all. Same thing is expected for SC next week, Trump up 20. .

'Faux conservative' is incorrect since Trump does not even pretend to be conservative. I can't recall him ever uttering the word.
Its his choice to choose a loser. In the general Cruz will lose - he’s just not likable.
