Donald Trump on Friday issued a warning to Ted Cruz, alleging that he has standing to sue the Texas senator over questions of his birth and constitutional eligibility to serve in the White House.
If @tedcruz does not clean up his act, stop cheating, & doing negative ads, I have standing to sue him for not being a natural born citizen, Trump tweeted.
The broadside was an escalation in the accusations that the real estate mogul has been lobbing Cruzs way this week. Trump called Cruz a liar in a series of tweets beginning Thursday that stem from allegations that the Texas senators campaign created push polls against Trump. Cruz has denied his campaign has any affiliation with such polls.
Cruz caught cold in lie after denial of push polls like lies w/ @RealBenCarson. How can he preach Christian values? Trump asked, tweeting out a link to a POLITICO story headlined Cruz denies Trump accusation over push polls.
Trump continued his criticism, adding that his campaign has been getting reports from many voters that the Cruz people are back to doing very sleazy and dishonest pushpolls on me. We are watching!

All talk and no action....REALLY??? That’s the last thing I’d say about Trump.
It’s the politicians who are all talk and either no action or excuses excuses ..... like “I was lied to”.
Didn’t you see the former governor of Illinois on the Apprentice...Rod someone? He was worthless in getting a task done, all he could do was talk.

One of the cases challenging Obama was filed by a competitor and it was ruled that he didn't have 'standing'.
I forget which one it was.
That response was actually when he was asked about Trump repeating when someone had called him a “p***y” at a rally.
He hasn’t responded to this particular tweet. But I’m sure, being that he has a stance of not going after someone “in kind”, that he’ll stick to the important issues and leave the elementary school antics to Trump.
Obama had only ONE serious competitor...Hilda Clinton.
so much for Trumps promise not to sue
Please list the ACCOMPLISHMENTS of conservatives in congress, Tea partiers in congress and any others who think they are conservatives, such as Rubio, Kasich, Bush family etc.
I am waiting and holding my breath.
Trump’s Promise was based on the good Christian and bible thumper Cruz not spreading lies about Dr Carson in Iowa, and now about Trump in SC. I always thought bible is against telling lies. So either Cruz is not following bible or bible allows telling lies.
I know Koran, the religious book of Islam specifically allows telling lies. It is called Taqiyya.
IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a ââ¬Ånatural born citizenââ¬Â is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.

Sooner the better. Cruz can begin the ball rolling by suing Trump first! Because Trumpâs mother was not born in America.
Oh so a persons word is dependent on the character of the person your giving it to. So if I was doing a business deal gave my word and then found out I was going to lose money, but the guy I was doing business with is a bad guy. Does that give me the right to break my word.
Trump has promised not to run third party, but recently hinted at it if he feels that he wasn’t treated fair. Does whether or not your treated fair alter the fact you gave your word.
If Trump is willing to go back on his word on not running third party cause his feelings are hurt, and whether or not to sue because in his mind the person he gave his word to is a bad guy. Then what else could he decide to change his mind on and go back on his word.
I want to live in a world where when a Man gives his word, even if it costs him, he still follows and does what he said. Now I personally think Ted is one of those men, of course I give him the benefit of the doubt and listen to his explanations of the attacks upon him and they seem reasonable. Now I have reached a point where I trust that what he says is true.
So, Trump isn't worried that it's a Constitutional question, he's just threatening to lash out if his "butt-hurt" in South Carolina is too serious?
All of the past Obama birther suits were thrown out because of a technicality - âPlaintiff has no standingâ.
The NBC issues were fought by Obamaâs lawyers who would point to the clause in the Constitution that says that the Electoral College determines if the winner is an NBC.
Its a âCatch 22â situation. The decision is made after the election where the winner of the election is allowed to stuff the Electoral College with his supporters.
Its a flaw in the Constitution that has never been addressed.
As a result, we ended up with Obama.
What they really should do is have the previous Electoral College reconvene before the election.
