This matter needs to go to SCOTUS before it is too late. If Cruz is the nominee, when the democrat nominee sues Cruz, it will be too late to fix it, and will be a major problem in November election.

I support Cruz, let’s do this and get it over with and laid to rest.

Any state certainly has standing, in fact sole control over who accesses their ballot within certain standards. And how.

Another candidate? Questionable.

Politico likes nothing better than to foment a Trump vs. Cruz fight, wishing the two would hurt each other as much as Politico hates them both.

Clean up? Looking in the mirror, DT?

It should have been settled long before this. Cruz would be the first openly foreign born President in American history. As such, you can’t convince me that there isn’t anything to to see here.

The question is, does Trump have a valid point? Often Trump’s so-called childishness, this time about Cruz’s eligibility, may actually have substance and gravitas.

I like Cruz and hope it’s a Trump/Cruz ticket, but what is it about people who whine about Trump’s whining?

The difference is Trump’s bitching and moaning often actually adds up to something, like here. Nobody knows exactly how this Cruz NBC thing will play out. But sooner or later it will almost certainly play out. Maybe this is Trump’s way of forcing the issue I don’t know, but if it turns out to be a problem, it could bite Cruz hard. If Cruz won the nomination, it could screw up the election in favor of the Socialist Democratic Party SOB’s.

Calling Trump a whiner sounds a lot like what the Left does - try to shame the opposition because they have no substantive response when the opposition actually has a substantive issue against them.

IMO, Cruz should get this issue settled in court. It would show good faith and more of an interest in America’s future than Cruz’s own political prospects. Otherwise, if Cruz was the GOP nominee for President and the Court ruled he wasn’t a natural born citizen, the election could be screwed.

This constant threatening to sue _____ for _____ may play well in NYC, but it’s wearing thin out in fly over country.

It all depends on the outcome of the next few contests. If Trump wins, he may select Ted as VP instead of suing. Awesome principles, huh.

More from unscrupulous, lying Trump.

First he states he knows that Cruz eligible, and then when it looks like Cruz is a threat, presto-chango, Cruz his eligibility is a problem.

Trump can’t have it both ways.

This seems to be a pattern with the Donald.

Principles don’t seem to mean much with this man.

Cruz eligible? - Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. For me, this is a revolution. You don't have a Constitution anymore so why let the Establishment who is holding it hostage use it to stop you from reinstating it. You think you still have a Constitution? Your president does not, he defies it, your judges, they ignore it also as they defy it and redefine it. Same with government bureaucrats who have been given power to bypass it with "rules" and "regulations". Yeah we have the paper, but in practice it does not exist. As it stands now I would take a foreign Constitutionalist in the mold of the Founders over almost everyone one of the candidates if given the option. We are at the point we are done as a nation unless somehow we start over -- not merely try to fix it. Unless we basically junk the garbage that has been added over the last 100 years and start over with what we were given in the beginning we are finished. A pragmatist will not save you. Only principles and values offer any hope. I don't personally care where the values and principles and morals come from if they are good; and I don't care who has them. I will stick with invisible virtues wherever they be found. If they are not embraced by Americans in power, I will support a foreigner who has them. Maybe we (the states) call for a convention and suspend the the Feds power and their interpretation of Constitution to save the Constitution from them. In effect, the document is all but dead anyway so why should we let evil men use it keep us in bondage, by convincing us that we are only righteous if we obey them? Think hard about this: "The question you propose, whether circumstances do not sometimes occur, which make it a duty in officers of high trust, to assume authorities beyond the law, is easy of solution in principle, but sometimes embarrassing in practice. A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means.. . . " - Thomas Jefferson to John B. Colvin, 20 Sept. 1810 Works 11 146

yeah, so frankly my dear. . .

If @tedcruz does not clean up his act, stop cheating, & doing negative ads, I have standing to sue him for not being a natural born citizen, Trump tweeted.

The underlying message here pretty sums up Trump as a person and a candidate. The implication here is that if Cruz does "clean up his act," then Trump is perfectly fine with him as a candidate even if he's not eligible to serve as President of the United States. WTF?
