Barbra Streisand, I am to the right of 99% of people on military issues, 99.99% to the right of all people on immigration issues, & 99.9999% to the right of all people on fiscal issues. Religion is a private matter, as the constitution says. I am 100% for religious freedom in private situations. But I am not particularly fond of people pushing their religion in my face. That would be especially true if in future we get a Muslim candidate running for president and telling me I am a liberal because I do not bow down to Islam.
“Religion is a private matter, as the constitution says.”
Does not say that. Where in the world do you get that from?
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Do you think free speech is a private matter?
I guess Evangelical Christians do not have the right to be governed by consent. We do not have the right to be represented despite being a sizable part of the population. No executive. No judicial. No legislative. No administrative. Evangelical Christians just need to keep their words and thoughts to ourselves.
If homosexuals tell us to bake a wedding cake for their wedding, I guess we either ought to do it, or we ought to go to jail, or be fined, or lose our job, or lose our business.
If Planned Parenthood wants to get billions of tax dollars AND more money by selling baby body parts, we should keep our mouths shut or go to prison.
Did I understand you correctly?
