The Primary Model (2016) 87%-99% Certain Trump Will Be President
primary model ^ | 2016 Model | Helmut Norpoth

For the record, the PRIMARY MODEL, has correctly predicted the winner of the popular vote in all five presidential elections since it was introduced in 1996. In recent elections the forecast has been issued as early as January of the election year.

It is 87% to 99% certain that Donald Trump will win the presidential election on November 8, 2016; 87% if running against Hillary Clinton, 99% if against Bernie Sanders. These predictions come from primarymodel.com

It is a statistical model that relies on presidential primaries and an election cycle as predictors of the vote in the general election.

Winning the early primaries is a major key for electoral victory in November. Trump won the Republican primaries in both New Hampshire and the South Carolina while Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders split the Democratic primaries in those states.

What favors the GOP in 2016 as well, no matter if Trump is the nominee or any other Republican, is the cycle of presidential elections. After two terms of Democrat Barack Obama in the White House the electoral pendulum is poised to swing to the GOP this year.

My wife watches a show on the Hallmark Channel called Hall and Family. It is a show that features various gusts and has fashion and cooking and crafting segments. Last week, Fox News’ Gretchen Carlson was the guest co-host for a couple of days. One day, she had on former Congresswoman Michele Bachman as one of her guests. They both opined that Trump would be the next president.

Which is why the establishment is fighting so hard. They can't bear to see their power slip away when it was their turn to collect payola.

They can't even hide the fact, which is why they come right out and say they're concerned about Trump "ruining" the party NOT that they're concerned about anyone ruining America.

Thank you for referencing that article entropy12. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Patriots, consider that Congress, not the Oval Office, is actually the most constitutionally powerful federal office in the land. The only reason that lawless Obama has been running the country unilaterally from Congress with unconstitutional executive orders is because corrupt Congress is letting Obama get away with doing so.

By letting Obama do their unconstitutional legislative work for them, lawmakers are able to keep their voting records clean so that they can fool low-information patriots into reelecting them.

Remember in November !

When patriots elect Trump, Cruz, or whatever conservative they elect, they need to also elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the new president, but also protect the states from unconstitutional federal government overreach, including putting a stop to unconstitutional executive orders.

Also, consider that such a Congress would probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

That's NOT true.

Anyone who claims that, is a political naif, who doesn't know anything about Hillary, Trump, nor how to count.

You're dreaming if you really believe what you posted.

Trump is the ONLY only who can beat Hillary or ANY Dem nominee.

Cruz is a LOUSY debater, can't think on his feet, has less than NO idea how to even approach beating Hillary ( but Trump does! ), and he won't be the nominee anyway. His path is extremely limited and as time goes by, it shall be even MORE difficult for him to get anywhere even close to the 1237 delegates and the outright win of 8 states.

You are, for some inexplicable reason, bedazzled by Ted, who is a FRAUD, a PHONY, a LIAR, and not a NBC !

Honestly, I do not understand why anyone would consider supporting a thoroughly dishonest, amoral man such as Trump. I think that Cruz mopped the floor with everyone last Thursday, and I expect a repeat performance tomorrow.

What I want to hear is that after Hillary’s defeat she will make the announcement that she and Bill are retiring from public fleecing activities . . . which should be rather difficult from Leavenworth, Kansas.

What would a strong president do to insure that Congress does their constitutionally-sworn duties?

"What would a strong president do to insure that Congress does their constitutionally-sworn duties?"

Sadly, the first thing for a modern, constitutionally low-information president to do would be to take the time to study Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

In fact, Judge Andrew Napolitano will read Section 8 to anybody who has about three minutes to spare.

Judge Napolitano & the Constitution

Sadly, the second thing that needs to be done is for low-information citizens to likewise have Napolitano read Section 8 to them.

Once voters are up to speed with Section 8, the third thing that needs to be done is this. President Trump needs to call out corrupt federal lawmakers who make bills which blatantly ignore not only Congress’s Section 8-limited powers, but which also ignore the clarification of Congress's limited power to appropriate taxes by a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

The fourth thing that needs to be done is for Trump to encourage citizens to work with state lawmakers to amend the Constitution to not only repeal the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, but also to give the states and general voters the power to recall bad-apple lawmakers, lawless presidents, and state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
