Yeah canceling the Primary is no big deal...... (sarcasm off)

If Cruz was going to win, then why cancel the vote?

Has it even cross your mind that this could happen to Cruz by Hillary?

Oh I’m sure you would be okay with it!

I understand the sentiment. However, state electors are different from party nomination delegates. States Electors are often bound by laws called “Faithless Elector” that prohibit them from stabbing voters in the back for a personal preference. At least 26 states have these laws.

This kind of national duplicity is something a states elector in a state not governed by a faithless elector should consider very, very carefully because this is not an anonymous process.

YOU KNOW..., they don’t cancel Primary elections.

The Delagates have always honored the vote unless it was very, very close like in 1952.

This action confirms to me the Establishment knows they cannot win legitmently. Their dumb ideas do not fool the majority of voters.

Thus, they have to lie, cheat and steal in order to win. This is what we get from a government that has a 9% approval rating on average.

Malarkey. Trump just didn’t know the rules. He admits it in his tweets.

Now if Cruz was working for trump as his running mate, do you think trump’s team would be screwing this up so badly?

We need them both. Trump at the top, Cruz as veep. I don’t want an ignorant King, But I would like a powerful CEO with strong constitutional guidance.

They’re both anti establishment. They both are far better coupled with the other.

Oh I certainly think Colorado effed up BIG TIME. To my mind I’d remove their entire slate of delegates that make up the actual VOTING block of delegates at the convention which would bring down the overall total needed to win 1st Round by about 16 (i.e., 1237 to 1221). Those delegates don’t represent a peoples who were allowed an honest vote.

This whole mess reminds me of some old western movie plot.

Voting has become nonessential, thanks to the GOPe and Cruz’s sore loser complex. The only way for Cruz to win the nomination is for him to stack the delagate deck. The only way for the GOPe to get their “fresh face” in is for Cruz to stack the delegate deck and then have those delegates turn on him and nominate the “fresh face”.

Trumpkins don’t care they want to write their own rules..

Funny how so many who bitched about how corrupt the system is - denying the People the choice - are so cool with it now that it's their guy benefiting from the slime. Have you bothered to ask who the "persuaded" delegates are really loyal to? Do you really think the answer is "Cruz"?

Key point in my post about florida :

“delegates are bound for three ballots at the convention”

Having said that, I am hoping that Trump gets well over 1237 before the convention.

In 1924, Democrats selected John W. Davis as their standard-bearer — on the 103rd ballot. They went to all that trouble in vain, too: Davis lost to Calvin Coolidge in the general election.

If a party can't judiciously agree on a candidate, then why would the voters support the resulting "winner".

Not denying anybody a choice, but when you complain because your guy loses some delegates or s state where Trump didn’t know the rules. If Trump was so smart he could have got these delegates himself.. He is closing half of his campaign offices after the Primary now he is coming up short. I just read where Trump Campaign didn’t know he needed to campaign in all the CD’s to win all the delegates from New York. Trump thought you only had to get 50% of the primary vote.. Not so you need 50% in every CD to win all the delegates. Heck I just found out 2 of his children can’t vote for him in NY. They were Democrats which needed to change party affiliation by Oct 9 to be able to vote in Republican Primary.. That is really planning for you..

All very nice, but still ignores the question as to who the delegates Cruz is "persuading" are really loyal to and what other agendas they may have. They can't be given cash, but from what I gather, other "perks" may be perfectly legal - IOW, a candidate can effectively purchase the delegates and all done behind closed doors and out of the public eye.

These delegates he is wooing are second vote delegates if the candidate does not get the 1237 on the first ballot then 50% can switch allegiance. Some will stick to their candidate and some won’t.. If Trump don’t make it on the first ballot he is toast!!
