Jan Brewer would be an excellent choice. It will demonstrate that he is dead serious about the border.

Yes, but it leaves one with an unusual, if not weird, visual.

It's definitely weird if you start listening to the voices from the gutter.

The fact that Cruz is mathematically eliminated doesn’t matter to his campaign. The fact that Trump has not yet reached 1237 in the delegate count does. Cruz’s only goal is to keep him from reaching that.

You people are stuck on stupid with the Trump is a Democrat talking points. Listen and learn to what the man says today not 12 years ago. We can play this game many times over with Ted.

Soft of like the super bowl team quitting in the third qtr only behind by 10 points...

With so many players hurt that they can't put 11 men on the field.

Santorum should have stayed in in 2012 is basically what you are saying.

That’s what I think. She’s fired up about the border. She’s smart. She a good campaigner. She twice won a governorship.

She changes the optics to a male and a female set of outsiders.

What are you talking about.
Trump swept the south too.
Your south lawyer candidate
could not even beat him in the south.

The only states Cruz has won are
Voterless states.

You will end up getting what you will always
get. Nothing.

No reason to drop out....

Except two big reasons
1. Canadian by birth
2. Father Cuban at time of birth

And what will you get when a Hillary landslide sweeps away Donald and the House & Senate?

As he insults the GOP party over and over that ship is sailing. Whatever he gets is what he will get. No one is going to want to be part of that negative party.

Trump haters next line is yeah, look how many votes Hillary got!

15 point win is impressive? Pah. The Donald’s win was 35 points.

Choke on it.

Not going to choke on anything. I’m voting for the nominee and if that is Trump he has my vote. Just concerned that his unfavorables nation-wide are not something that can be overcome.

Probably not since the times of Lincoln (and a Civil War broke out)

Closest we came again was 1976 when Ford came into convention with maybe a 40 delegate lead over Reagan. Even with that slim lead and even with the grass roots enthusiasm for Reagan, Ford was able to come up with the delegates needed to put him over the top.

So the notion that Cruz can go into convention hundreds of delegates behind and force a second ballot is pretty far fetched. Even if Trump is 150 delegates from the 1237, a worse case scenario, Cruz will be at least 250 delegates behind and in no position to overtake Trump - who WILL find a way to get the delegates he needs on the first ballot, as Ford did 40 years ago.

Well, we’ll see what happens. Not expecting a civil war in any event. Not if he loses the nomination, not if he loses the general and not even if he wins and you all find out HE was the liar.

Why? Because Cruz is not likely to win on any vote of a convention and if he somehow could he cannot win in the general as shown by actual voting so far.

Why is Cruz not likely to win a nomination on any convention vote?

1. look at the makeup of most of the delegates going to the convention. You will see they are mostly GOP party officers and big donors, not grassroots. Which is logical considering Cruz has the benefit of the Bush and Romney’s State GOP political machines under the #neverTrump agenda. This means their first loyalty is to the Party not Cruz.

2. The GOP bosses can see Cruz cannot win the general. They know hes mostly propped up by their party Machines in the States now which will not work like this in the General. So in order to keep the gravy-train rolling they will torpedo him in the convention using their State Party officers, etc. with the hope of pushing another RINO on us in the general.

Most Americans now see Trump as the best chance to actually win the general and as an outsider to effect change on what many see as a corrupt self-serving party. So For Cruz to continue with the above information out there shows he does not care about us America or the Party so much as he cares about himself.

This is the point in the race where Santorum and Newt dropped out in 2012.

It’s time.
