Ted Cruz just crushed Donald Trump in Washington State GOP delegates [dirty tricks]
The Week ^ | May 23, 2016 | Peter Weber

Washington State holds its Republican primary on Tuesday, and with one candidate left in the race, there's not too much drama about the outcome. But in a twist — and what would the 2016 race be without a twist? — 40 of Washington's 41 delegates selected Saturday to attend the Republican National Convention in July are Ted Cruz partisans. Cruz supporters outnumbered Donald Trump supporters at the state GOP convention in Pasco, and they were better organized, pushing through the Cruz slate of delegates over occasional protests from Trump backers, who noted repeatedly that Cruz is no longer in the race.

Among the Trump supporters who did not get elected a national delegate is Trump state campaign chairman Don Benton, a Washington State senator. Benton predicted that the Cruz delegates will come around to supporting Trump — in fact, ACCORDING TO STATE PARTY RULES, they have to VOTE FOR TRUMP at the convention, assuming Trump wins the primary on Tuesday. But the Republicans in Washington State are not yet unified, The Seattle Times reports, and several candidates for statewide office are either studiously not saying if they will support Trump, like gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant, or saying they won't. "Do you think I enjoy this? Not supporting the nominee?" said Chris Vance, a GOP candidate for U.S. Senate. "It's unpleasant."

I don’t care what his plan is, I just want Ted Cruz to go away.

The primary winner will get the votes at least on first round of voting at the convention.

If Cruz had such a "great" organization,he would have won.

What teddykins is doing, still, is garbage/dirty tricks and only makes people loathe him more.

What are the rules for getting your VP pick nominated? Is this Cruz’s end game? To get his name placed in nomination as the VP?

Unless someone’s got pictures of the strings going from the delegates to Cruz, I have to assume these are just the normal actions I’ve observed from many deeply partisan Cruz supporters and little reflection on Cruz himself.

While I’d prefer he’d give an unequivocal endorsement of Trump for the nomination, I understand how much pressure he’s under by his supporters to not give in (at this time.)

Honestly, I think this is just a bad idea all around; if you are so incredibly behind Cruz, do you really want to gleefully cast your vote for Trump at the convention?

Unfortunately, yes, they are and the scales have yet to fall from their collective eyes. They are still making excuses for slimy Ted, trashing us and Trump, and refuse to understand why this behavior stinks on ice. Some may even be hoping that Trump picks that POS as his VEEP.

No doubt they'll still be here, trashing Trump all through both of his terms as president.

“I wouldn’t allow Cruz near Cleveland, let alone make a speech. He’s the enemy at this point. As much as Romney or Kristol.”

Agreed. The globalist hypocrisies and paymasters are revealed, and he still has the personality of oiled carrion. Add some crank theological hysteria and that is the whole package, with a little Made in Canada stamp on the foot.

And I’m already tired of hearing this popular post-loss Cruz chestnut: “Cruz and his people just want to make sure there is a conservative platform.”

It reminds me of the line from the `Elizabeth I’ movie (Helen Mirren) where the Earl of Essex, riding with his men on the Queen’s residence, attempts to soothe the queen:
“We are only concerned about your advisors and the advice you receive ... “ and Liz fires back,
“No, you would tell me who rules. And I tell you, I rule.”

He dropped out, finally, after it became mathematically impossible for him to win—yet he lingers like a stale fart in aisle 4.
Now he seems to think that his consolation prize is being able to make the decisions he would have made—but for losing?
IOW, it appears Ted wants to be behind the curtains pulling strings, running things.

That is what the primaries are all about. His crazy position only makes sense to his deluded fans here and Glenn Beck.

I am aware of that. It means we are saved, by the Grace of God, by a thread known as an RNC RULE.

Pray it doesn’t get changed by some insidious shenanigans.

Those RULE makers are not our people. They are lock, stock and barrel Cruz people stacked on every committee and by a mile outnumber an individual or two per delegation.

Seriously, Priebus and the Wisconsin TRIO seem to be relenting in their language and starting to call it for TRUMP, even though it is luke warm personally. If they seriously want to beat Hillary, it will be TRUMP.

But, we will see. Thx, deport.

the delegates are required to vote for the winner on the first ballot.
~~~~~~~~~
Looks like Cruz is making certain his people vote for Trump. Maybe it’s his way of trying to unify the party. ;-)
Who cares? Trump will win the WA vote, and they will ALL be required to vote for him on the first (and only) ballot. Nothing will change - Donald J. Trump will be the 2016 Republican nominee for POTUS.
Sorry, when it is over, it is OVER. All that this does is to make Cruz and his backers look like (bigger) jackasses.
This is the current delegate count from three sources.*
* The GreenPapers source is in the process of being updated. Trump now shows 1176 with Ted at 573.
So much for Ted's capture of delegates.
“The little freak from Texass just keeps coming back, like a bad penny.”
Oily Felito is not from Texas. He is from Canada. He is a carpetbagger operating from and leeching off of Texas, like the Mexican George Prescott Bush.
>>I wouldn’t allow Cruz near Cleveland, let alone make a speech. He’s the enemy at this point. As much as Romney or Kristol.
AMEN.
If Cruz had actually suspended his campaign and FULLY ENDORSED DJT, there would be no problem.
Instead, we keep hearing about little rumblings, under the guise of advancing conservatism, when in reality CRUZ IS NO CONSERVATIVE. He is an arrogant globalist elitist who, as his old college roommate has told us, will NEVER give up.
The fact that Cruz did NOT fully endorse DJT reveals his true intentions. The electorate sees this; paid political agitators see only their paychecks.
This pesky Cruz creature needs to be squashed like the annoying insect he is. I suspect DJT has had enough of him, and will eventually do just that.
I think the rest of us should just chill at this point, because DJT has shown he knows what he is doing. He knows how to WIN.
Because twee Teddykins believes that GOD “anointed him to be king” and the hell with the voters, whom he believes are stupid and will believe his lies. Poor Teddy, the majority of the voters saw right through him and loathe him.
Cruz seems to be sufficiently in the dumps, what with floating in a pool in the middle of Mexico, looking out of place entirely at the Kentucky Derby before that, and keeping his mutt shut for several days, that it’s just plausible that WA state is not his work so much as it remains full of his pouting, begrudging hangers-on, who want and can throw their weight around, because they schlonged us in numbers there.
Remember, TRUMP supporters/voters of today failed to show up at their precinct meetings and thus we got our hat handed to us by the locals who never fail to show up.
Just sayin’.
Cruz just knows the game better than Trump.
WHAT game?
Garner pretend delegates to go with his pretend Vice President?
