Donald Trump may be the last Republican standing in the 2016 race, but that doesn't mean everyone in his party is happy about it. At the Washington state Republican convention this weekend, 40 of the state's 41 elected GOP delegates went not to Trump but to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump's primary challenger in the race. The Seattle Times reports that even Trump's state campaign chairman in Washington, state Sen. Don Benton, didn't snag a delegate slot in the anti-Trump crowd. Cruz supporters won 10 of the 13 at-large delegates elected Saturday at the Republican Party of Virginia's statewide convention at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. Republican front-runner Donald Trump won the other three. Cruz's victory will only matter if he can block Trump from clinching the nomination before the national convention in July. Virginia delegates will only be free to support whomever they choose after the first round of voting at the national convention.

NBC's Hallie Jackson reports Cruz has changed his focus to Pennsylvania and making a play for the state's unbound delegates. Jackson, the network's Cruz correspondent, said even if Cruz has a third place finish in Pennsylvania's Republican primary, he'll win more than half the delegates. "It's very telling that's Ted Cruz tonight is not in Brooklyn or Manhattan or any of the boroughs or state. He's in Pennsylvania," reported Jackson. All the primaries will do is allow, if delegates are awarded proportionately, is give the percentage winner the OPPORTUNITY to get more of his voters to become delegates than the other guy.
