Senator Ted Cruz’s Powerful Response to the FBI’s Decision Regarding Clinton’s Email Scandal
Red State ^ | July 5, 2016 | Susan Wright

Posted on 07/05/2016 7:06:35 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

As a Constitutional lawyer, Texas Senator Ted Cruz knows a thing or two about the law.

As a conservative senator, he knows what a tank of sharks Washington, D.C. can be.

After today’s announcement by FBI Director James Comey that Hillary Clinton would skate on charges of wrongdoing, in regards to her hiding, destroying, and total mishandling of sensitive emails, Senator Cruz made a strong statement.

From his Facebook page, and in its entirety:

While I have tremendous respect for the dedicated men and women of the FBI, I have serious concerns about the integrity of Director Comey’s decision, and how it threatens the rule of law.

Director Comey has rewritten a clearly worded federal criminal statute. In so doing, he has come dangerously close to saying that grossly negligent handling of classified information should not result in serious consequences for high-level officials. In a nation where the rule of law is supposed to matter, this is troubling.

Yesterday, Americans celebrated the 240th birthday of our Republic. We honored not only those who fought and died to defend our way of life, but the constitutional Republic for which they sacrificed. If we are to remain a beacon of hope and freedom for the rest of the world, it is incumbent upon us to ensure that we remain a nation of laws, and that our laws apply equally and fairly to us all. Under President Obama, we have seen the most politicized Department of Justice in history; I very much hope that politicization has not similarly corrupted the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I join my Senate Judiciary colleagues, including Chairman Grassley, in calling for public transparency of, and full access to, all the information that the FBI used to come to today’s dubious decision.

I dare say, unless you have a transcript of the “chance” meeting between Hillary’s lecherous, corrupt husband, and the equally corrupt Attorney General Loretta Lynch from last week, you won’t get the whole story.

I’ll go further and say that Clinton’s recent suggestion that she may keep Lynch on as AG, once she rousts her pal, Trump, in the general election, doesn’t seem like a “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours” scenario, at all!

Or maybe just a little.

These are the reasons we need men like Senator Cruz in the Senate.

Because he lied to Texans about his nationality, how he funded his campaign, his support for legalization, his manipulation of religion, his shilling for the Chamber of Commerce, etc.

Speaking of lieing...

So who do you want instead of Cruz? Speak up now, name names.

Because he conveniently didn’t mention his Canadian citizenship to them when he ran for the Senate the first time. Other reasons too, but that one’s enough.

Hopefully Cruz will be primaried by someone willing to rise up. Preferably a real conservative, not a fake one like Cruz.

this is troubling.

YES THAT'S IT. That is the classic definition of a powerful Republican response to ANYTHING the queers and witches on the left do!

Which reminds me that the retards on that anti-FR website, where all the Cruzers evacuated to and then turned around and spread falsehoods against Jim and posters on this forum, also speculated that I was a lawyer or employee of the Dewhurst campaign.

I found it offensive, since it was technically a downgrade from the doctorate I have been awarded by other paranoid freaks earlier that year.

I fine with either Greg Abbott, Dan Patrick, Ted Poe or Louie Gohmert Jr. But Cruz needs to go.

You are one sensitive mofo. Suck it up, buttercup.

You think Mike McCaul is going to give it a shot? His wife's rich, and he's low key enough for Austin Pubbies.

>>>”Fire should be returned from what ever quarter it is fired from. If that is the GOP so be it.”

Hillary would love that.

I’m sorry, this is just a way to lose. Make your own choice.

Hillary also loves it when the highest elected Republican in the nation frags Trump and records TV ads for her. The GOP are using the same back stabbing tactics against Trump that they used to successfully marginalize the tea party. How did playing nice with the GOP work out for the TP?

Frankly, at this point I see no reason for Trump supporters to vote GOP down ballot. If the GOP is going to half endorse Trump then Trump supporters should return the favor and half endorse the GOP ticket.

Elected GOP officeholders have constituents that support them, they have organizations and dedicated field workers, they have phone banks and GOTV efforts in place, ground workers and all level of political supporters. Up and down the line, they’ve worked in the trenches to win election.

If you want to beat Hillary, really want to beat her and not just make a statement, then you don’t keep the attitude that you want to hang their representative.

That’s not the way to unify against Hillary, not the way to beat them. It’s exactly what the liberals want and, just listen to Obama today, what the depend on and promote.

You are mistakenly believing the GOP want to beat Hillary to the benefit of Trump. You could not be more mistaken. Actions and non actions speak louder than words. Romney, Ryan and Cruz prefer Hillary and Obama to Trump. It’s that simple.

Why hasn’t Cruz endorsed the only man standing between us and four more years of Obama lawlessness, like what we saw today but with Hillary’s special brand of malice?

That’s an easy one. He prefers Hillary to Trump. I’m still waiting for Cruz to apologize to the millions of Trump supporters he personally smeared as “low info”. I not holding my breath for him to do that. LOL.

I’m waiting for Cruz and Trump to bury the hatchet and team up. I’m hoping they will do that at the convention, and there Cruz will make a powerful speech endorsing Trump and focusing on putting aside personal desires for the good of the country.

Yes, I live in a fantasy world.

In case you were wondering.

Cruz is never going to fully endorse Trump. That’s what all the “Trump must apologize” nonsense coming from Cruz surrogates right now is about.

Listen carefully to what they are saying now. It’s going to be a “beat Hillary” non endorsement of Trump. A half endorsement in my book. Therefore, I will be returning the favor and won’t be voting GOP down ticket this year.

I see on twitter that the Cruz CRew was continuing their hysterical never Trump tantrums yesterday. Not one shot at Hillary Rotten Criminal. They clearly perfer her and are campaigning for her.

You are the subject of misinformation.

Cruz was a Canadian citizen only by Canadian law, which was irrelevant to his case. By American law, the only relevant citizenship law, he was an American citizen from birth.

And, no, if he was not familiar with Canadian citizenship law -- and he had no reason to be -- he would not necessarily have known that. That whole issue is a red herring.

"low info" is a smear? Compared to the colorful terms you've been throwing out, that's pretty mild.

Allow me to spell it out for you: Ted Cruz has consistently said he will support the nominee, who will be named at the convention. Currently, Trump is the presumptive nominee.

If you are unable to recognize the difference, then perhaps "low info" applies to you.

For the record, from Day One, Cruz has been my #1, Trump my #2, and there is no #3.

What a pathetic comment, 2ndDivisionVet!!!

Cruz has done NOTHING for the 2nd amendment. Zilch. Zero, Nada, Nitch.

I know you’re not stupid, so I can only assume you’re playing us for fools.

Look in the mirror.

Cruz lost—that’s all.

The HORROR that is a Clinton Presidency can be avoided IF he get’s behind the GOP winner.

NOTHING else can do, and unless he does so, not one of us here can support Ted Cruz politically. EVER.

No, you can’t grasp the difference obviously.

The point is a CANDIDATE (Cruz) personally directed his smear on the grassroots SUPPORTERS of his rival (Trump) . Nobody else did such a thing in the GOP primary. Additionally, Cruz was also comfortable sending his father out as a campaign surrogate to smear Trump’s religious beliefs to Evangelical groups. Quite a family there...

Cruz is not supporting the presumptive GOP nom right now and in fact gave a press availability specifically to frag him on the judge nonsense. His actions show he prefers Hillary to Trump.
