Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will appear at a rally Wednesday night at Canton Memorial Civic Center, according to his campaign website.
The rally begins at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at his website.
This will be Trump's first public appearance in Stark County during the campaign. He appeared at a private fundraiser at Brookside Country Club in August.
He's been in Northeast Ohio often in the past month, having appeared in Cleveland on Thursday and at Brook Park and Canfield on Labor Day. He also was in Youngstown on Aug. 15 and Akron on Aug. 22.
Recent polls have shown Trump even or slightly ahead of Democrat Hillary Clinton in Ohio, which is considered crucial by both campaigns in the presidential race.
More to come.
He’s making all the right moves. I also believe some of the visits to places like Washington—heavily criticized by GOP strategists—may pay off in the end. He is going to win the “three legged stool” of Texas, Florida, and Ohio that he needs as a base. Add all the usual GOP states, add Iowa, Nevada, and Maine’s 2nd congressional district and he is elected.
Won’t all those burning crosses at the Trump rally create a real air quality problem for Canton? (/liberal)
Ohio Ping!
The rally begins at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at his website.
Please let me know if you want on or off the list.
