I'm a Democrat but I've gotta admit it's now Trump 2, Dems 0
Fox News Opinion ^ | December 6, 2016 | Bryan Dean Wright

Following President-elect Trump's surprise phone call on Friday with the Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, the response has been predictable if not disheartening. Academics in D.C. this morning are claiming that, “Trump…doesn’t have clue.” An expert at the University of California added that the call was “impulsive.”

Regrettably, my Democratic Party pushed back too. By its measure, Trump demonstrated his “incompetence” and threatened our national security. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) went so far as to say that Trump’s actions might push the nation into war with China.

What academics and my party don’t understand is that he’s not interested in starting a war. He simply recognizes that we’re already in one. And he’s giving voice to its long-suffering victims: millions of voters in places like North Carolina, Ohio, and Michigan.

To understand the battlefield, readers should travel to North Carolina and talk to the former workers at Alpha Aluminum. For decades, these swing-state voters produced foil for eventual use in cigarette packages. This past summer, however, over 100 American workers lost their jobs. The reason? Cheap Chinese aluminum imports....

This isn’t a game! We voted for Trump to make America great again and have completely rejected left wing ideology. We want low taxes, strong defense, no crime, no terrorists, no illegals, and most of all we want the American Spirit back!

Hmmm ...

The Force is strong in this one..

We need to recruit him to the light...

He should become a Conservative.

It should not be too hard. The Democrats will force him out!

Fearful people see actions through a lens of fear. Their ravings can be discarded as irrelevant.

So many of our politicians, academics and media types are bought and payed for by our foreign enemies that they are uncountable. The fact that they only associate amongst themselves makes them self deluded into thinking that us serfs can not see what they are doing.

It’s ridiculous that China thinks they can tell us who we can and can’t talk to.

You know what? We don’t like then talking to Iran and Cuba (let alone trading with them) — but they do it anyway.

Talking and communication, with anyone, is a good thing. I like that Trump calls and talks to a lot of the world’s leaders. I like that he is establishing a personal relationship with them, which can only make it easier to get their cooperation in the future. I like that he doesn’t have to make a big ceremony out of everything like past presidents have done.

Had a conversation several days ago with the husband of my wife's niece. He said he was a Democrat. But, when talking with him I realized that he is a raving conservative and just doesn't know it.

There will be some serious libtards who will claim trump cannot run in 2020 because he won twice already.

It’s already happening. Even the leftists, after 25 years of carrying their fetid water, are sick of it. None of it makes sense, and they are tired of defending it.

I remember Rush after Romney lost. He was relieved. I get it. At the time, Romney was better than Obama, so he got on the bandwagon. When the wheels fell off, he was relieved, and in no small part because he knew Romney might just lead to 20 more years of leftist rule.

Trump can choose to talk with anyone he wants to and doesn’t need permission from college professors or other “experts”.
And I predict that Trump will not bow to the dictator of China or the king of Saudi Arabia, Obama style. Instead, if he meets them, he’ll look them squarely in the eye and shake their hand. I don’t expect my president to bow to anyone.

Would somebody please buy this guy some Thomas Sowell books for Christmas? He just needs a little push in the right direction.

When I signed on to FR he was the biggest and oldest cat around the house. Grew up with the kids and was a great mouser. Friendly as all get out.
