Elizabeth Warren’s new, tantalizing claim about Kavanaugh shows what utter madness this is
The Washington Post ^ | October 5, 2018 | Greg Sargent

One of the most infuriating aspects of this whole Kavanaugh saga is the degree to which we are flying blind about some of the most fundamental points of disagreement at its core. Making this even worse, it doesn’t have to be this way.

On the Senate floor late Thursday, Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) made a new and tantalizing claim about what’s in the FBI documents on Brett M. Kavanaugh that all senators have now reviewed. Senators are severely limited in what they can say about these documents, which are summaries of the interviews that the FBI conducted as part of their renewed background check into Kavanaugh, after Christine Blasey Ford went public with charges that he sexually assaulted her, which led to a host of new claims like that one and others about his drinking at the time.

Warren noted these limitations and said the following (emphasis added):

“Senators have been muzzled. So I will now say three things that committee staff has explained are permissible to say without violating committee rules. … One: This was not a full and fair investigation. It was sharply limited in scope and did not explore the relevant confirming facts. Two: The available documents do not exonerate Mr. Kavanaugh.

And three: the available documents contradict statements Mr. Kavanaugh made under oath. I would like to back up these points with explicit statements from the FBI documents — explicit statements that should be available for the American people to see. But the Republicans have locked the documents behind closed doors.”

Warren, then, appears to have consulted with Judiciary Committee lawyers and was seemingly told that per the rules, she could divulge just this much about what is in the documents, and not a syllable more....

I’m old enough to remember:

“This isn’t an impeachable offense. It’s just sex. Everyone lies about sex.”

What was that in regards to?

Oh yes an older white man in high office having sex with an intern more than 20 years his junior.

Feinstein asked that the report not be released. She is the leading democrat on the Judiciary committee. Take it up with her, Pocahontas.

Gene Sargent sez "But Kavanaugh could very well be confirmed to a lifetime seat on the nation’s highest court in 24 hours, by only the barest majority of senators

And it would have been the barest majority if the vote was back when he was nominated before this Democrat manufactured 3 week fiasco. Perhaps Mr Sargent doesn't remember Chuckie's "I will oppose Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination with everything I have" quote after PDJT's nomination of the Judge. What's your point, Gene??

...what are Elizabeth Warren’s penalties for lying?

To be fair, she's a politician, her job is to lie!

Immediately open all records of The Bureau of Indian Affairs and read the rulings in which Kavanaugh was responsible for stealing Indian Territory.

I’m surprised Warren beat Harris to the punch -( first to leak confidential report )

Maybe Harris was out late with a “constituant” and her jaw was tired

She says just enough to keep the smear going.

Well, two can play at that game.

Because a friend recently told me that Sen. Warren [redacted] at least three times while in high school. And she did it again in college.

And while in her 30's, Warren would often [redacted] in a local park, in full view of the families there! Warren's friends said she would brag about it, and then ask them to [redacted] with her.

In light of this shocking new information, I demand that Sen. Warren resign immediately.

She’s such a lying wench. The DNC insisted on the FBI. Did they want the entire town interviewed? But if they had, they’d have run into the, at the time, town cub reporter, who said he would have sniffed out and covered any scandal at the schools but there was not a single incident on the police blotter. Since it’s obvious that BK did not assault CBF, his drinking habits 36 years ago are immaterial. So are we back to ice ice baby? Dem senators still want to play the innuendo game instead of apologizing to America for their outrageous and filthy-mouthed and filthy-minded behavior; they can bugger off.

Two: The available documents do not exonerate Mr. Kavanaugh.

That's because Ford's accusations are unfalsifiable!

It is impossible to prove a negative.

This will be the MO. Keep ‘leaking’ info that may or not be true to force McConnell to release the whole thing to counter the lies. If he doesn’t then this will be the media line. The report looks bad for K and that’s why the GOP is hiding it.

If there was anything whatsoever useful to the democrats in the FBI report then the NY Slimes and Washington Compost would have had front page stories this morning quoting “confidential congressional sources.”

The officer carries the encrypted comm devices— the football- with the military’s codes (just like a guard— “halt who goes there?” “password?” ) to verify a go command from the CIC. (like “FailSafe”) The Executive’s secretary keeps his “cards”— and this became the Holy Writ standard practice, after that moron Billie Boy Clinton— freaking LOST his!! Imagine how vulnerable millions were because of that powder monkey with tertiary syphilis. So, that is why the Pres’ personal secretary maintains them close by.
