[history]
Democrat Barbara Boxer maintains a small plurality of support for re-election to the U.S. Senate and leads four potential Republican challengers as attention shifts toward next year's statewide elections, according to a poll released Thursday.
Forty-five percent of all registered voters surveyed by the Field Poll said they were inclined to re-elect Boxer to a third six-year term in November 2004, while 40 percent were not inclined and 15 percent had no opinion. The numbers have changed little since July, when 48 percent were inclined to re-elect Boxer, 41 percent were not and 11 percent had no opinion.

45% re-elect. Hardly inspiring numbers for Boxer. Do you know how that compares to previous campaigns? Her adviser says these are her best numbers ever!

No, Mr. Behr, it shows that people find her to be a meanhearted bitch.:)
LOL If Rush calls Nancy Pelosi 'Miss America' I wonder what name he has for this one?

Wow! All California Republicans need is another popular RINO movie start to run and they should have it all wrapped up... After all, a pseudo-Republican is better than no republican, isn't it?

What is it about women named Barbara (or variations thereof), anyway? About 9/10ths of them are nothing but woman-shaped spawn of Satan.

Come on, this is Cali, and its a year from the election. Gray won re-election with under 50% as well....
Believe me I hate Boxer, but a year out in Cali, these numbers don't mean didly.... the interesting thing to watch will be what Republican canidate gets the nod... will it be someone who will attract outside the party core, or will Cali R's go right back to their old failed pattern of putting up loser for general election.

After all, a pseudo-Republican is better than no republican, isn't it? Compared to Barbara Boxer? Yes.

Boxer is as dumb as a mud fence. If it wasn't for Washington's Patti Murray, she would win the title of dumbest senator hands down. My favorite to take her on would be Condi Rice. It would be like Einstein debating a street walker.

Hey, don't forget Sheila Jackson Lee as the leader of the pack of dummies.

You know, it's too bad that people don't actually look at the candidates. For example, how really unique President Bush is.
It's all about innuendo and lies.
To: BlackRazor
If this were Bush, the headline would be "Bush numbers plummeting, re-election unlikely."

Do you know how that compares to previous campaigns?Negative. Didn't track the numbers back then, and I'm too lazy to look them up. :-)

The last three Field polls show her re-elect numbers at 45%, 48% and 46%. It's safe to say she doesn't exactly have momentum right now. :-)

Imagine for a moment that these stats were Bush's stats. Does anyone think the headline would read Bush holds slim edge as '04 race nears ?

She's beatable, but just barely. It's still a likely hold.

will it be someone who will attract outside the party core, or will Cali R's go right back to their old failed pattern of putting up loser for general election. Matt Fong attracted support outside the party's core. He was tied with Babs before she unleashed her TV attacks with 2? weeks left that he didn't have the $ to counter. Fong with more $ and a better GOP year would have won.

ANY RINO IS BETTER THAN THE BEST RAT ANY DAY!!!!!!!!!
Let the Cal GOP put up another Rino. Does anyone think he/she could be worse?
Besides, we are NOT going to win that seat anyway but; giving her a good fight will keep her and her rat scum money home so she can't give it to other rats in close races. THAT JUST ANOTHER ADVANTAGE OF ELECTING EVEN a rino like Arnold.
