>>you probably know how to spell extraordinarie correctly!
That is true. I never met the word I couldn't spell. As for the rest, the glory belongs to Google. :)

Thanks!

Ah-the infamous google! LOL!

Subtle!
If receiving the Host wuld cause her "distress" then NOT receiving food and drink must surely cause her distress..
But WHY the silence on the part of the local bishop?

Felod is MS's lawyer.
Terri's lawyers care for her, not against her.

Zell Miller helped Bill Clinton win the GA primary in 1992 and then the general election in GA. Clinton lost GA in 1996, however.

Something occurred to me, just from one of the statements MS made in the LK interview.
When he was going on about conservative groups giving money to the Schindlers, it was such a surprising statement because I don't think anyone has even thought of such a thing.
But then I wondered, why would MS say that, unless he himself is getting or is being promised large sums of $$ from the right to die sector.
Why else would he think of such a strange thing to say?
(Just speculation on my part.)

However, the injured party no longer exists. The insurance company that paid the award has been out of business for some time now.

Felod is MS's lawyer. Terri's lawyers care for her, not against her. Officially, Pat Anderson is Terri's parents' lawyer. Felos is, or was, officially her lawyer; that's the only way his payment from Terri's trust fund could be justified. Officially, it is in Terri's best interest to be fatally dehydrated, so Felos is working supposedly in Terri's interest.
One of the big problems in this case is that Greer's refusal to appoint a guardian ad litem as required by law means that there is nobody who really has standing to speak on Terri's behalf against her HINO. To my mind, the fact that Felos functions openly as Michael's lawyer while also claiming to act on behalf of Terri should raise some red flags, since it would mean that he could not possibly be counted upon to act in Terri's interests in the event such interests differed from HINO's. But of course since Greer's declared there's no possible conflict of interest, that's a non-factor.
Felos' book, on the other hand, would seem like that would be a separate conflict-of-interest angle which AFAIK has not been addressed by any courts yet.

I don't think Nelson said he is supporting Terri. He is asking people to make out living wills to avoid future "Terri scenarios."

That's another thing, Robert. The Catholic Church seems strangely silent on this case. For that matter, we haven't heard from Billy or Franklin Graham either, or Jerry Falwell, or Pat Robertson, have we?
To: Saundra Duffy
Let the people decide who they will believe.
That's the trouble, Saundra, with "democracy." Too often the people are WRONG! They may yet side with Schiavo because they don't like "vegetables" and never expect to be one themselves.
To: Theodore R.
Nothing.
Even up here (NW Atlanta) the "official" churches have been strangely quiet.

Actually judges don't even have this kind of latitude in DEATH PENALTY murder cases. I don't know about other capital punishment states but here in California there is a second after conviction trial to determine weather the penalty should be death or life imprisonment and the judge is only allowed to impose the penalty the JURY voted for.

Generally liberals, I have noticed, are interested in causes that benefit other liberals.
To: Theodore R.
But, see, the "national unbiased news media" have been calling her vegetative, unresponsive, in a coma for xx years. Etc.
Without the OTHER VIEW from FR and such places, I too, would think she "ought to" be able to die with dignity and in quiet and safety. But dying of thirst is NOT that end.
Getting just enough of the wrong news, or too much of the biased news, is more dangerous than none at all.
The Nazi's, for example, did not have to tell the Big Lie to be successful, they could merely get by by telling many little ones that aren't contradicted by opposing evidence.
And such interviewers as CNN's Larry King, by calmly accepting as truth what the HINO says, merely ADD to the deception.

Gee, I wonder if Schiavo has "gotten behind" on his child-support payments for this teenager.

Well, how is this relevant. I don't think Terri was ever on a respirator, was she?
