I could be wrong but it is my understanding that there was a time after the collaspe that they both lived in the same place to better care for Terry

Now were it was, I don't know .. but it was my impression that he moved in with them??

But if we think about what Steven is claiming and that her parents were so bankrupt that the couldn't even get credit to get an apartment

Then were did they live after MS and Terry's parents split?

Under the vast right wing of course! ;)

Tell you what I think. I think the Schindlers went right down the well financially, dealing with Terri's condition, and that didn't take long. I've read that Mr. Schindler's retirement fund was drained. Someone ought to memo Schiavo that HUMAN PARENTS will DO things like that for their child. They made every sacrifice for her sake, but for Michael she was just a cash cow. Or a pinata.

He had guardianship, and even after it was clear what sort of fiend he was, they had to be very careful not to offend him if they wanted to keep seeing Terri. She had become a hostage.

This might fit with some questions I've been waiting to see answered. I heard the Schindler's attorney, Pat, on Glenn Beck yesterday. She confirmed that Terri had experimental brain surgery (as opposed to external stimulus, such as electro shock as some have speculated). She said it was done in San Francisco, I think in 1991, but definitely before the malpractice trial. She said Terri was in San Francisco for 1 month, then in the rehabilitation facility in FL for 3 months, which was the last time she had any rehab.

This brain surgery raises a lot of questions. Did the Schindlers approve of Terri having brain surgery? Are the probes that were implanted in Terri's brain still there, or was there a second surgery to remove them? Might more damage have been done to Terri as a result of this experimental brain surgery? (Surely there'd be extensive work-ups of Terri's brain functioning and status pre and post-operatively. I'd imagine that would have to have been in the medical evidence presented at the malpractice trial. Since it would've been used in discovery, wouldn't that make it public domain?)

Finally, as relates to your question about the Schindler's financial situation in 1991: I don't believe any health insurance company would have paid for experimental brain surgery! It had to have been incredibly expensive, and I doubt Michael paid for it. Is it possible the Schindlers paid for Terri's brain surgery? If so, that could sure account for them being bankrupt in 1991.
