I read that one. That's why I don't necessarily think it is conservative vs. liberal. Greta seems liberal to me, so does Geraldo R. and both of them are giving a fair shake to Terri's family.

I would have thought O'Reilly would have been on the family's side but he brings on people that claim she is in a persistent vegetative state.

Maybe even Larry King woke up after he had Michael on. I think he was surprised at Michael's answers, especially his negative reply to taking a lie detector test, not allowing the CNN cameras in, and the fact that this man is having kids with his new girlfriend, while he professes his undying love for Terri.

Evidently Catherine Crier was completely against Terri's family. I think of her as liberal, but I wouldn't have expected her to be as negative as it was reported she was.

Because the Florida legislator has a majority of Republicans, I think liberals at first blush take Michael's side, but anyone that looks at the facts comes over to the other side. We can't allow this one judge to allow a state sanctioned death on such flimsy information from her abusive husband.

I found this post in in usenet archives (sorry it's so long, but it was one of the "for Terri" posts). There are many against the family and I figured democrats would side with MS, but maybe that isn't the case across the board:

"But the courts ARE deciding arent they? Is not Governor Bush vested with the the supreme executive power to uphold the US Constitution and the Florida constitution? Yes, the legislative powers *courts* ARE indeed deciding. Voters are not. This is really only a *stay of execution* that was implied by the state through the court system.

"We havent had a referendum on this issue that I know of. So how are voters deciding a court case? In yer mind its only the ones that voted for Bush, but from what I see living down here that aint the case. I see almost more democrats behind this at the water-coolers than republicans down here.

"The state government regulates the Hospice centers in this state and the legislature has decided to re-instate the feeding tube. They have every right to, as that is their responsibility. This is not over yet by a longshot though.

"You comment that nobody should be able to comment on this case unless they are the Husband, the doctors and the courts, not voters, is so totally lame. Did a doctor come forth with this lawsuit? Did the courts take it upon themselves to institute this? No. The husband did based off what is heresay evidence at the very least. He's a voter I would assume. The doctors probably are, and most judges vote for themselves so what is yer point?

"This will eventually go back to the courts where it damn well should be. IMO

"But in the meantime the governor of this state had enough legal power to deem this as a case that needed more scrutiny.

"He can also do that for death row inmates FYI. "There are the recent legal briefings here if you want to read them" (link to terrisfight.org).

O'Reilly has a tendency to let his opinions inform his mouth before he engages his brain. When he's on the right side of an issue, he's a pit bull. Unfortunately, when he is on the wrong side of an issue, he is just as tenacious, but often misinformed....or at least lacking in background research.

Senator Bill Nelson is getting on board. I think he's trying to avoid appearing indifferent. I say the more the merrier and Terri gets to live. Terri's like the princess and the pea. She has thousands of friends around the world. The misinformed just don't get it. But, the flash movies at terrisfight.org are very convincing.

Who would wish to die if they weren't sick, suffering or terminal? Nobody. That is what the misinformed don't get. That's what this is about.

I don't like the idea of anybody being starved-dehydrated to death. WHOSE IDEA WAS THAT ANYWAY? (even people who can eat from a tray without feeding tubes are being starved to death. This disturbs me greatly).
