Gunman boarding plane intercepted

CAIRO, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Egyptian police intercepted a gunman at Cairo international airport Monday as he tried to board an Air France plane bound for Paris. Security sources at the airport said Wahid Mikhail, 61, an Egyptian holding an Irish passport, was carrying a gun loaded with 17 bullets in his hand luggage when he was searched by police.
Mikhail, a physician, claimed the gun belonged to his deceased father and that he wanted to take it with him to Ireland as a souvenir.
He was turned over to prosecutors for investigation on charges of endangering safety on board a plane.

You think so? I have often wondered about that, if the Eiffel Tower had been attacked instead of the WTC, would the French think/behave differently?
I heard the other day that the French love generals like Wesley Clark. A soldier who doesn't want to fight....

And I wouldn't put much stock in the fact that this guy is a "physician"- inmany countries, that is simply a genteel degree to get. Don't forget that Arafat is supposedly a "physician". Right.

The whole French strategy is to hide behind their cheese wheels and hope no Islamo-nuts come after them. Look at the way the Euros respond to attacks on UN buildings and Red Cross workers. Would it be any different if their own cities were attacked? They are a castrated society.
