Is the scandal that he's gay, or that he did it with a servant? There's also the matter that the rape of Smith was hushed up.
But I suspect the real scandal is how and why Diana died.

"But I suspect the real scandal is how and why Diana died." When the trash starts falling out of the can from being overly stuffed, sometimes the bottom of the can falls out from pressure.
Princie Charles is sooooo DemocRATic!

If you look back on the history of the "Royal Family" you will see a long list of murderers, rapists, adulterers, and other such misfits. Edward II the homo was murdered with a hot poker up his behind. Perhaps William will hold Charles down whilst Harry makes the insertion. Payback is sweet.

If Diana was murdered, would Chirac have to have been in on the plot?

Lord Mountbaten, Charles's favourite uncle, whom he spent a great deal of time with when he was young, was widely known to be a gay man. Charles grew up in a castle where his parents had little time for him...and Uncle made a great deal of time for him! Perhaps there is much, much more to this story? Perhaps family abuse? Somewhere, at home, In a box of packed up books I have a biography of Charles. Written I believe in the late 80's early 90's as a foil to all the "pro-Diana" stuff.
And I swear to grannies-grits, there is a phrase about Lord Mountbatten "introducing Charles to homosexuality" which struck me as bizarre.
Guess I need to dig out that book.

Well, diddling Camilla could count as having sex with a man I suppose.

They have Royal trash(Prince Charles),we have trailor trash(Clintoons).

You're pretty much correct. The name was actually von Battenberg (Mountbatten is an almost direct translation), and it was changed during WWI, at the same time the Saxe-Coeburg-Gothas changed their name to "Windsor".
I believe, as monarch in her own right, Elizabeth kept the name Windsor and her children's surname is "Windsor". Which was unlike, I have been told, Victoria, whose children's surname was that of Prinz Albrecht von Saxe-Coeburg-Gotha, her beloved "Bertie".
Bundh of damned Germans, if you ask me. Give me a Plantagenet or a Tudor, or even a Cecil, (and maybe a Stuart, but maybe not) any day.

Bush is about to spend three days at Buckingham Palace:
Yard fury over Bush visit. I wonder if the royals will be there at the time.

I heard that the prince made a servant hold a cup for him to piddle into...some kind of drug test. It's disgusting, but not on a par with sodomy. Hmmm.

LOL. Those guys were mostly French, can't have that! Where's Harold Godwinson when you need him?
Wonder how many newspaper editors around the world will run with the "Future King is a Queen" headline. :)
Apologies to any monarchists hereabouts. I used to be a believer myself, and still am, at least as far as the current monarch goes. But the rest of the family is enough to make me wish Oliver Cromwell were still around.

Over the past 15 or so years, I've had the distinct impression that I've been watching the gradual but inexorable destruction of the British monarchy, in slow motion. This is a most unusual situation where sex, sleeze and scandal meets system of government.
Although the personal/family issues per se hold little interest for me, there is a definite erosion of the British system of government occuring as a result, so it's hard not to stand and stare at this spectacle as it unfolds, a little like a train wreck in slow motion. The house of Windsor is imploding. I rather see the fire and destruction of Windsor Castle in '92 as a metaphor for the future fate of the British monarchy.
The observant will also have noted the parallel scandals and chaos besetting that other pillar of the British establishment, the Church of England. The monarchy and C of E are made for each other. The simultaneous upheaval in both is a sign that Britain is in for some difficult times.

This reminds me of the peepot dome scandals.

If you can subscribe to usenet discussion groups, go to alt.gossip.royalty, alt.talk.royalty, or alt.conspiracy.princess-diana. There are all kinds of discussions and links.
If you can't subscribe to newsgroups, go here to the google usenet archives and do an advanced search for articles over the past couple weeks (use dropdown dates to narrow search) in those newsgroups.
