I think the problem is the changing awareness of the misnomer "AntiSemitism". I read article on the net almost daily that declare Zionism the enemy of the Jews, Hebrews, and Israelites and these articles are from respected Jewish Rabbis. example
Grand Rabbi Teitlebaum's Jews Against Zionism website

The term antisemitism really needs to be scrapped and replaced with something more accurate, IMHO.

I'm Irish, not Jewish, but with this kind of open dissension in the Jewish community over the definition of "AntiSemitism", I can hardly blame Ireland for dropping the resolution.

"The Jewish community" doesn't exist as such. There is no behavioural identifier that distinguishes ALL Jews and makes us form a community, besides the loose one of having ancestry in common and some principles of religious belief. Most of us don't know each other and never will.

This is precisely why it's not legimate to generalise about Jews -- and precisely why there are no grounds for being against Jews on principle. You might as well say that because one very short person thinks there is no prejudice against short people you can conclude that there is indeed no prejudice against short people.
