Hillary to turn TV talk show triple play
The Boston Herald ^ | Saturday, December 6, 2003 | Andrew Miga

WASHINGTON - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, fanning yet another round of speculation about her national political ambitions, tomorrow is set to score a rare TV news talk show hat trick with appearances on three programs.

Clinton's high-profile string of network interviews will eclipse the nine Democratic presidential hopefuls as they near a critical showdown: a debate set for Tuesday night in the leadoff primary state of New Hampshire.

Polls show Clinton (D-N.Y.) is far more popular among Democratic voters than any of her party's White House candidates.

That lofty status assures her of a prominent place on the national political landscape - and stirs seemingly endless rumors about her political future.

Clinton will make the back-to-back-to-back appearances on three Sunday network (ABC, CBS and NBC) talk shows. The triple play marks a scheduling feat usually reserved for major White House figures at times of crisis or prominent figures involved in high-profile scandals.

The former first lady has upstaged the 2004 Democratic pack several times already, spurring private grumbling among senior aides to some candidates.

``She has a habit of always reminding us that she's still out there,'' said a strategist to one Democratic White House hopeful.

Clinton hosted a joint appearance by the Democratic presidential pack in Iowa last month, generating the most excitement and headlines before a crowd of about 8,000.

Rumors about the possibility of Clinton jumping into the race for the 2004 Democratic nomination have percolated for months, despite Clinton's steadfast denials.

Her highly publicized book tour earlier this year further fed the rumor mill.

Former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani earlier this year went so far as to suggest retired Gen. Wesley Clark's candidacy may be a stalking horse for Clinton, but most politicos dismiss the notion as outlandish.

Clinton herself was upstaged over Thanksgiving when President Bush made a surprise visit to Iraq at the same time the senator was meeting with troops in Afghanistan.

The New York senator, who has proven adept at keeping herself in the national political limelight in her first term as senator, is widely considered by political professionals in both parties to be preparing for a 2008 White House run.

Which is a constant source of amazement to me. Guess it just shows the psychopathy of the Dems.

It is strange that she is making a triple play. It was mentioned to me today that she will run, might be a little far fetched but think about this. If more states cancel their primaries and only hold caucus's that give her more of chance to jump in the race

Hillary's motive is to make sure no democrat wins the presidency in 04, she might take her jabs at Bush, but her goal is to take the air out of the sails of the 9 dwarfs

She appears on Fox all the time. She just refuses to let Fox interview her. Of course her legs would be be really repulsive. Can you imagine her in a short skirt sitting for an interview on Fox?

I guess she refuses to give interviews to journalists who don't worship the ground she walks on.

She won't appear on Fox!

That's a given. Too many pointed questions and FOX may not have agreed to her script.

She will run. But not until next July, at the convention. At the moment she just needs to make sure none of the dwarves gets ahead of the pack.

Most likely she will talk about her "findings" in Afghanistan and Iraq. Playing the Elder States(wo)man, and all that.

Pretty good for the most junior senator in the Senate, who has never held any other political office!

oh please, deliver us.

We endured the many years of slavering media worship of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. For years after JFK was killed, no magazine published was complete without Jackie on the cover. That abated somewhat when she married Ari, which didn't seem to comport with the Camelot image the media hung on her and for which she was primarily responsible.

Now we've got this miserable creature (whose middle name seems to be Rotten) hogging all the slobbers of a worshipful left wing media.

As a nation, before 9-11 we seemed to be longing for Royalty.

The Kennedys were nominated, but they turned out to have too many warts to qualify for the Royal Purple.

Then for years after her death, Princess Di became the object of worshipful adoration.

Turned out Di had a few warts of her own, and ardor cooled.

And now, comes Hillary Rotten Clintoon to try on the glass slipper. Everyone can see her warts......Al Capp had Li'l Abner put it this way: "As any fool can plainly see. Ah sees!"

Does it turn out that nobody on the Dumbocrap side cares?

Queen Hitlery. Eureka! And Egads!!!

Newt Gingrich is on MTP tomorrow too. I'm sure they won't be on together...can't imagine Hillary sharing airtime.

You're right, tommorrow's blanket appearances are designed to let Hillary appear as QueenMotherof The Universe Expert on Iraq and Afghanistan. The questions will be gentle puffball purrs, with no follow up.

But to get the taste out of our mouths, Laura Bush will be on with Larry King Live Monday night

" She will run. But not until next July, at the convention. At the moment she just needs to make sure none of the dwarves gets ahead of the pack."

She is defintely running and has given herself the luxury of avoiding all debates and primaries. And the luxury of backing off and letting Dean take the fall,if GW's polls stay high. It's amazing how pitifully sissified the "men" in the Democrat Party are. Everyone can see what she is doing, but, the Democrats are too afraid of her,to call her on it. And the Democrats say they are tough enough to run the War on Terror-ha!
