I didn't watch any of the coverage of Saddam being captured today. I just didn't want to see any gloating from Chimpy and his henchmen.
This news doesn't change any damn thing about this administration.
A foreign policy that is imperialistic and arrogant to the nth degree. A foreign policy based on lies.
3 million jobs lost in this country. An economic policy that is tilted to the rich. Everyone else gets short shrift from this White House.
A energy policy run by the oil companies. Envrionmental policy that favors the polluters.
Civil liberties under assault as never before. An atmosphere created in this country by this adminstration and the right wing of rancor, divisiviness, paranoia.
Saddam's capture doesn't change one g*dd*mmed thing. G*dd*mmit, I want my country back again.

"Q: "Where's Osama?" A: "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?"
Who is Kenneth?"
OK. Here's my public service for the day for the clueless.
"What's the frequency Kenneth?" is the line repeatedly spoken by a man who beat the
S@$T out of Dan Rather on a NYC street about 15 years ago. Rather went on the air that night with a mauled face and related the story (complete with the mystery quote).
Dude was not caught. A few years later, same dude shot to death 3-4 NBC TV employees in NYC. He was nuts. After seeing the photo of the captured perpetrator, Rather ID'd him as the dude who beat the
S@%T out of him a few years earlier and expressed gratitude (as I recall) that the dude had just messed him up.
And now you know....the REST of the story.....

Bush and the Republicans need to frame the question properly: "Where are Osama bin Laden's remains?" They can then answer the question themselves: "There are so many collapsed caves in Tora Bora that it may take some time before bin Laden's remains are recovered, if ever."

Howard Dean's campaign spokesman vehemently denies that this alleged capture will have any effect on the Presidential election.

"Don't think about my wire OK.
So you go along with the DUers on this kind of thinking huh?
How long do you think Bush held Saddum in that hole? And why did he let him out now?"
Do the word SARCASM ring da bell?
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

If it was sarcasm then why didn't you say that when I responded with "If you really think that ..." instead of your "wire" comment?
Am I supposed to be a mind reader?
Merry Christmas to you and yours also.

You're right.
I get tired of placing the <./sarcasm> tag on, and as a result, once in a while I am mis-interpreted. I may have to reconsider that practice.
My "sarcastic" scenario on Ossama is surely one the "dims" will be thinking could happen, and I love to add to their paranoia.

Oh, I know. I know he wouldn't do that on purpose, but a guy can dream can't he?
To: Holly_P
Not necessarily. It went Reagan in 84.
That said, I don't think he'll be that lucky. I'm guessing 40 states is doable though.
To: zbigreddogz; G.Mason
I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that. You two have restored my faith in FReeperdom.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
