[history]
Secularist fanatics try to take "holy" out of the holidays.
If you like your Christmases straight--i.e., "Merry Christmas" instead of "Season's Greetings"--the run-up to Dec. 25 can be a trying time. And this year the grinches are again out in full force, trying their best to strip from our public squares any hint of what most Americans will actually be celebrating come Christmas morn.

... the way for citizens to gain their First Amendment rights on the public square is via pretense and dissembling. BALONEY! Citizens already have their First Amendment Rights ... they have only to exert them loudly and often: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry HanaRamaKwanza!
By the way, it occurs to me that the Kwanza "holiday" clearly violates the spirit of diversity.

Thank you for for the well-wishes. The clerk in the grocery check-out line yesterday wished me (and her other customers) a "Merry Christmas" as we went through her line. I thanked her and remarked how refreshing it was to hear that greeting said freely, because it isn't said too much anymore. She was genuinely confused and asked me "why?" To which I responded because of political correctness, of course.
I'm still not sure she understood. Maybe ignorance truly is bliss. LOL!

Seems that some people have forgotten the TRUE MEANING of CHRISTmas. It's not about the gifts or how many you get or how much someone paied for them. It's about the Birth of Christ.

A stronger message to the kiddies would be to have Santa Claus kneel before the manger, head bowed in reverence. I've seen it done and it brings the children to a hush every time. It presents the true meaning of the Holy Day in a new light that even the youngest can understand.

A great CHRISTmas present would be to find out whether some little future FReeper is a boy or a girl!
Guess I have to wait!

Someone said, "Happy Holidays" to our local priest. He was NOT very happy. Can you imagine the unbelievable stupidity of saying that to a priest?
May you all have a very Blessed Cristmas!
