If you don't like my use of the word, "messy," to describe today's Third World republics, how about "fledgling." And it isn't just Russia's democracy which is a fledgling banana republic but every other Third World democracy on earth you can name.

I'd call China a fledgling basketcase as well, with complete genocide of Tibetans, natives of Xinjiang, invasions of neighbouring coutnries, over-hyped superiority syndrome when it's mostly been a backwater.

A banana republic is a one-commodity nation -- like Saudi Arabia or the states in Central america or West Asia that can export only one thign -- bananas. China's a banana state as it's people have been brainwashed and are used to people telling them what to do, they have no individual personalities, only drones.
