Hillary Leaning Toward V-P Run
www.bobbarr.org ^ | 12/22/03 | Bob Barr

Atlanta, Georgia – Long time-Clinton family insider and nationally-renowned political advisor Dick Morris says Sen. Hillary Clinton is leaning toward a run for the Vice Presidential spot in next year’s election. Morris also speculated that Howard Dean, the likely Democrat presidential nominee, will ask Mrs. Clinton to join his ticket in the near future.

Appearing last night on Bob Barr’s Laws of the Universe®, Dick Morris gave some of the most candid insight into the Clinton camp’s strategy for her much expected run for the presidency in 2008. The transcript from the show that aired last night is as follows:

Bob Barr: “…I’ve gotta ask you, what is Hillary up to? When is she going to run for President? And, what is she going to be doing in the presidential race this coming year?”

Dick Morris: “She’ll run for President in ’08. But, I think that there is an increasing chance that she may run for Vice President in ’04. I think that Dean is gonna get the Democratic nomination. And, he has got to be scared to death that the Clinton’s are going to knife him in the back while he’s running.

. . . [T]he Clintons put up Wesley Clark. They funded him. They put all of their people in there. They backed Liebermann before that. They flirted with Kerry. Anybody but Dean! And, Dean has got to be very scared about that. And, I think there’s a very good argument that he may wanna take a hostage and put Hillary on his ticket, so that doesn’t happen.

. . . And from Hillary’s point of view, a month ago she thought she had a clear shot at the nomination in ’08. She knew Dean would win. She knew that Dean would loose to Bush. It was ideal. There would be an open White House and no democrat of any stature to run. Then Gore comes along and endorses Dean. And, that’s basically a statement by Gore that ‘I’m not retired. I’m back in the fray. You may see me running in ’08.’

. . . And then she has to also worry that there may be a new vice presidential candidate, like Wesley Clarke, who could use it to run in ‘08. So, for a lot of reasons she may want to get in there, preempt Clark, outshine Gore, and have her clear shot at the nomination.”

Bob Barr’s Laws of the Universe® airs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM each Sunday evening on the Radio America Network. Bob Barr entertains listeners with his sharp sense of humor and unconventional wit applied to current news and politics.

You are right, Hillary will run with Clarke. That is why Dean must not win. Watch for info from his FBI files to start hitting the Tabloids right after the first of the year.

Clarke has been groomed to run and pick Hillary as his VP.

That is why Gore endorsed Dean, he hates the Clintons.

If Dean wins the nomination the Republicans will have a classic landslide and the dems will be out of power for a decade. Hillary will not let this happen.

I wish these two-bit Dixie mafiosi would just go away.

I thought the Hildebeast grew up in Illinois. Am I mistaken?

My advice to Dean, do not ride in a motorcade past the Texas Schoolbook Depository.

She'll be Lyndon Johnson the 2nd if the Democrats win next year. Sometime a few nanoseconds after 12 pm. EST January 20, 2007.

...and the Klintons have no shame, it would literally be within minutes of that date and time so the Hildebeast could serve ten years (in their view at least). The two of them are so arrogant, they would would stage a mysterious suicide/car crash/plane crash even if everyone was openly predicting it.

"...theoretically she could serve up to ten years as president and be the second longest serving (self-serving) president in US history."

And theoretically, pigs can fly. Do you actually think people of intelligence would sit idly by while she occupied the White House? I sense there would be a mass revolution like none before.

He'll get a bullet in the head once the Beast is sworn in as Veep.

She may be toxic and ambitious, but she's not an idiot. She'd wait until just past the middle of the term before acting. That way, she could possibly hold office for nearly TEN YEARS.

Exactly! All this Hillary in 08 proves that they just KNOW they are going to lose big in 04. Otherwise, wouldn't they expect the incumbent to run again in 08? That is, unless what you say is true (Vince Foster, Ron Brown,etc...)and Veep Hillary finds herself in the White House following a 'tragic' event.... The truth is stranger than fiction with this bunch!

Yeah, that's their mode of operation, do things that are so outrageous that they can't be accused of it.

Go on. Nobody runs for Veep. Veep candidates are selected by the presidential nominee. Not to say that Dean or whoever wouldn't select Clinton, but to have someone actually want that job enough to campaign for in the primaries seems unusual.

Dean would have to have a pretty serious death wish to want Hillary! as a Veep.

True. He so much into conspiracy theories that I'd think he'd know about Ron Brown and probably Foster. :^)

Read my previous post #40 and also read the 22nd amendment. Dean-Clinton 2004 could be Hillary 2007. Also, Hillary could be elected twice after succeeding the president. All she would have to do is make sure she doesn't serve more than half of the elected term. So theoretically she could serve up to ten years as president and be the second longest serving (self-serving) president in US history.

The country would be a sheet of glass before she got her ten years in.

Hillary Rodham Clinton
named her daughter to honor
her life-long psychopathic desire for power...

"Chelsea Victoria" Clinton
"Shall-See Victory"

Exactly what type of "victory" does
Hillary want to see?
