Dean better watch his back and have an official taster if Hillary becomes his V.P. She is dangerous to life and safety if you get between her and power.

Yeah, with the West and the South, she knows the only way she becomes president is through the VP slot.

Of course this is just an unrelated coincidence:

December 22, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - Democratic front-runner Howard Dean tried to head off a challenge from retired Gen. Wesley Clark by offering to name the former military man as his running mate, Clark said yesterday.

The deal was discussed in September, before Clark threw his hat into the ring, and was dismissed outright, according to Clark.

Dean "did offer me the vice presidency. And what I told him was, that's not the issue," Clark said on ABC's This Week. The veep slot "was sort of discussed . . . and dangled before I made the decision to run."

But Dean's campaign manager, Joe Trippi, went on the same show to claim the offer never happened.

On another front, Dean, the former governor of Vermont, will release his confidential records from his administration when a judge approves it, Trippi said yesterday.

His opponents, including Rep. Richard Gephardt (D-Mo.) and Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.), have complained that Dean could immediately make the records public if he wanted.

And, he has got to be scared to death that the Clinton’s are going to literally knife him in the back while he’s running.

Sorry kids, but I ain't buying this one....tyhere's just no way in hell that Hitlery would EVER take a subordinate role in Howard Dean's campaign, and, there's just no way in hell that Howard Dean would open himself up to influence from the Clintons.

I respect Dick Morris's opinion, but I think he's full of baloney on this one....

Dick Morris speculations...... He maybe correct but I'll believe it when I see it. According to polling info Ms. Clinton could wipe out the field if she entered the race so what would change for her in 2008 assuming the democrat candidate of 04 lost? My guess is she'll still be the stronger candidate in 08 no matter who's on the ticket this year. At present no democrat is polling anywhere near enough to beat President Bush. So I don't see any advantage for her to be on a losing ticket.

Why would Shrillary want to be the Geraldine Zaccaro of 2004?

Exactly!

All this Hillary in 08 proves that they just KNOW they are going to lose big in 04. Otherwise, wouldn't they expect the incumbent to run again in 08? That is, unless what you say is true (Vince Foster, Ron Brown,etc...)and Veep Hillary finds herself in the White House following a 'tragic' event.... The truth is stranger than fiction with this bunch!

Nah, she heard Rudy is running against her and knows she will never win again in NY. She's moving on to plan B.

If she's smart enough to assess the liklihood that she would lose to Rudy, she is smart enough to see that she would lose being second on the ticket to Dean, but there may be enough value to the campaign that it would enhance her '08 bid. If she thought she would win with Dean, I don't think she would accept the VP nod, as she simply won't play second fiddle again, IMHO.

If Howard Dean really believes he can win the Presidency in 04 why would he select Hillary as his VP? That puts him in her way of becoming President in 08. If I were H Dean and Hitlery was my VP I'd be concerned that some unforeseen event may remove me from office. Mmmm, would a Presidential suicide be plausible?

Tapping Hillary as VP will be the kiss of death for any presidential candidate - not that this crop of pathetic Democrat hopefuls needs one. But, it might happen anyway, especially if Dean finds himself thirty points behind Bush before the convention even starts!

But all these fears of Hillary getting on the ticket are unwarranted. If Hillary makes it onto the Dem ticket, it will be the biggest landslide (for Bush) in history. Too much is made of her senatorial victory in a liberal state against a weak and unknown Republican opponent. The woman is utterly unelectable on a national basis. We will be seeing margins of victory for Bush in many states exceeding 40 points. The end result may well be a filibuster-proof GOP majority in Congress as well. So run, Hillary, run!

BTW, if the rumors are true that Rudy will challenge her for the NY senate seat, look for Hillary to find a reason not to run for re-election. I don't think she has the guts to take Rudy on.

Dick Morris? It's a given then. Hillary Clinton will not be on the ticket this year.

That's what I was thinking. She'll be toast in 2006, not 2008, so she'd best do something now.

If she runs for VP, that would mean she would have to debate Dick Cheney. Ha, ha, ha. That would be a great show. Bush/Cheney in a landslide!!!

Dean wouldn't gain a single vote by selecting her and he'd lose plenty of people who'd vote for Dean but can't stomach Hillary.
