A flight from Paris to LAX would over fly ALL of the US. If the terrorist took control of the flight on the east coast they could fly the plane anywhere in the US?
So Los Angeles itself wouldn’t necessarily be the target but the flight could divert quickly over its flight path??

I expect about 2 minutes after any diversion, there would be a couple F-16 fighters on each side of the plane.

Most flights from LAX and SFO to London and Paris are Trans Polar flights. They don't fly over the states.
