EW, you are a great achiever when it comes to leading us in protest, but we've been protesting this issue forever. I feel we have one more chance for Bush to get it right and that is hundreds, if not hopefully thousands, write in Tancredo in March! Also yes, you should lead us in another protest. A specific protest concerning Tom Ridge and Bush's policy regarding amnesty. Bush said he is empathetically saying no to amnesty, we need that in writing. His man Ridge is saying he doesn't care about American's and how they feel and so far our fight has been leading nowhere, so I definitely believe Ridge!

Screw Vincente Fox and screw the National Immigration Forum. Any - any - politican - Republican or Democrat - who so much as pays lip service to Ridge's capitulating, suicidal idea, should be Primary Target Number One in the '04-'06 election cycle (assuming that we don't have martial law because of boneheaded ideas like this). We already know for a fact that there have been quite a few illegal entries by Arabs on the southern border, and they ain't here for the fried chicken and cold beer.

A lot of people will just stay home rather than vote for him , costing him more votes than the Hispanic votes he hopes to gain.

As I recall, in California in the Recall Election, Hispanics were less than 5% of the vote -- they stayed home.

Does anyone else have figures on percentage of the electorate? It is very VERY small in terms of registered voters and will continue to be so for a long time to come.

Bush had made the reforms a top policy priority before the terror attacks, but the objectives were deferred in the wake of national security following Sept. 11.

Tom Tancredo is not only our champion on this issue, he spearheaded it. I've exchanged emails with him over the years, although I am in Illinois, he has always been so kind, magnanimous and honorable. My brother was lucky enough to have Tom as his Congressman while he was alive.
