"Come to think of it, I think the Pinellas county judges should be examined by Dr. Hammesfahr, as I suspect a major epidemic of Mad Cow disease there." ROFLOL! CJD is a terminal illness, too....

Connor says the case is headed for the FL Supreme Court.
FeelLousy says court is waiting for appeals court to rule on a couple issues.
FL says Terri will die in a "painless manner" - Connor disputes that - asks why MS did not tell civil jury Terri wanted to die in this manner.
FL getty weepy about Terri's "civil rights being violated." (GAG)
Connor mentions NO WRITTEN directions.
Any money left? Greta asks.
No, FeelLousy says. "Not a penny," says Felos.
Connor points out "hundreds of thousands of dollars" back when MS began these proceedings.
Connor mentions Terri may be medicated when Greta asks how she is now.
Felos says no medication - "No cerebral cortex - no awareness - nothing can help this poor girl."
Connor says if he and Bush can get this before a jury they will try to get it heard in US District Court.
(Go Federal - that's new info! msmagoo)

Saw it. Connor was ok, only wish
he had revealed MS's personal info
to deflate Greta & Felos's attemot
to tab him as "Terri's husband".
Gag me - the truth must out!
Was wondering about Jeb's rights
being trampled. Connor did say,
first FL then U.S. Supremes. My
question on an earlier thread has
been answered.
Hey, & they showed her responding
to her mom - over & over again.
That was terrific!
To: cyn
Yes, that was good news - US District Court is Federal and would involve rights of a disabled person under the ADA - also the right to due process, right to trial by jury, and duty of the court to "err on the side of Life" (I hope.)

Did he say US Supremes? I was trying to type and listen, so might have missed it. He did say US District Court, which means it could end up in the lap of SCOTUS. Whoa!

As far as a competing State right and Terris right to life and the State right to protect that right (I would describe it as more a duty rather than a right) I would have to argue that in this case it is no longer a valid question. If so, "the law is an ass."
To: msmagoo
No, FeelLousy says. "Not a penny," says Felos. "Well, not in THAT pocket. What, you want to know what's in the other pocket? No Fair!"
Anyhow, even if this is taken at face value, if Mikey would just cede to the Schindlers with a "hold harmless" agreement, there would be plenty of funds coming in from the public.
To: The Red Zone
If so, "the law is an ass." Quite so. Late-recalled anecdotes of hearsay are much too slender a reed to bear the moral weight of ceding the right to life. The kind of anomic autonomy that dlds so learnedly cheers is from the pit of hell. Who cares if there's lots of "precedent": it's just like your example of the finely German engineered train carrying the victims to Auschwitz.

There is also a big difference between no money left in Terri's account and No Money Involved. Felos only talked about the first half. There is Big Money involved.
Just ask Mikey how much he paid out of his own pocket for the birth delivery of his 2 kids with Jodi and, or how much it costs to insure the kids and Jodi under a typical "basic family plan" over the next 18 years.
I don't imagine Mikey's employer's insurance is so generous as to cover the kids and Jodi while Mikey is still married to Terri. Therefore, in order to sign up his new family, Terri must die.
That's Big Money Felos didn't talk about.

To: HiTech RedNeck
You are right HTR.
But I don't think Mikey wants to take a chance on Terri ever pointing a finger at him. But if she could do it down the road, it would be cute to see a video of Terri flipping Mikey the bird.

...and what, pray tell, do you think of bald allegations with no reference to fact at all?
To: txrangerette
That lovely smile on the split screen debunking Felos while the words were spewing out of his mouth.
I believe in the end, if need be, President Bush would sign an Executive Order/Pardon to save Terri's life.
