This is exciting stuff. But can it compete with "American Idol" and "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance"?

it's being carried live on Cspan. They said coverage starts at 7 pm ET, with the actual caucus at 7:30 pm ET.

What exactly will they cover? I heard that the caucuses could take place in as many as 2000 different locations.

ABC Radio said at the top of the 5 o'clock EST hour that they could know the results as early as 8:30 pm EST. Gee, wonder how that is?

Allow me to spell it out for the Demonrats.

1. Bill & Hillary Clinton run the party.

2. They control the money through McAwful and the DNC.

3. Hillary is to be elected President. No ifs ans or maybes. It is thge singular goal to Bill to actual power for another 8 years.

4. NO DEMONRAT candidate will be ALLOWED to WIN the GENERAL ELECTION in NOVEMBER and beat President Bush. To allow a Demonrat to beat Bush clearly and simply means that Hillary would not be able to run until 2012. They simply will not allow that to happen.

5. Caveats: 1. Bill & Hill make sure no one candidate has enough convention delegates to win on the first ballot thereby throwing the election process open to elect Hillary.

2. Clark, who is the "stalking horse for Hillary" somehow manages to beat Bush. He is given his marching orders from Clinton (who undoubtedly has confidential dirt and this psycho) for the next four years, at which time he is told to step down, thereby allowing Hillary to run to run in 2008.

It is my personal belief that very soon, within the next six months, Bill will make the decision to either run Hillary this time, or simply sabotage the Demonrat unlucky enough to be the candidate. It will depend on Bill's assessment of the weakness and beatability of Bush. Bush's recent alien and moon programs have substantially weakened the GOP base. Combine this with his mad spending and he may just collapse into a one-term President.

Since the Clintons can easily control any of the 9 dwarfs and easily sabotage them in the general election, you'll probably see Hillary in 2008.

Predictions: Gephart wins, Dean second, Kerry third.

(Reports will say that the GOTV effort by all the candidates backfired and that grandparents came out and intimidated their kids to vote for Gephart, the youth vote goes to Dean, and Kerry gets what's left. Edwards drops off the charts.)

Can't wait to see how wrong I am, but in this close of a race, anything goes.

I've got a question about the caucus process.

I've read several articles on how a caucus works, but my question is, in a couple of the articles I read they indicated the members met in homes.

Is each meeting a particular precinct? If that was the case, in my area, they'd have to have pretty large meeting halls in order for people to attend a caucus.

And the bit about if one candidate doesn't receive 15%, then they basically disqualify that candidate and revote, that seems so weird to me. With a large field of candidates isn't there a remote possibility (not in this race, but perhaps in another race) that each candidate would receive under 15%. For instance, what if all 9 ran in Iowa, and each had a constituency that was under 15%, then what would they do????

Like I said, I've read a couple articles, but am still not real clear as to the specifics of how a caucus works. I tried to go to the main Iowa caucus page to get further explanation, but the website is offline at present.

Anyone that could enlighten me in an abbreviated fashion, I'd appreciate it.

Kerry is looking quite dapper the last few days. It seems to me that he's lost the deep lines on his forehead. I agree with Craig Crawford, the political analyst that he's probably had Botox treatments. Can somebody post some before and after pics. Real pics, not pics of Lurch, please!
Thanks!

I don't know what is wrong with me this year, but I genuinely don't care about the democrats race. Maybe when it gets close to convention time, I will be interested in the race, but they are so boring, and all so obviously unable to make a race of it, that it isn't too interesting, other than pointing out how goofy the lot of them are.

My suspicion is that Dean will not prevail well since he is being pounded by the other candidtaes. Also, Gephardt with his union thugs will likely squeak out first. Kerry does alright in the cities but bombs in the burbs and rural areas, he comes in third after little Dickie and Dean.

The Breck girl is a true wild card. His wid card is that he resembles and reminds voters of the magical and charming JFK. I suspect the women will go for him in a frenzy.

Kucinich, you say? He might as well go back to Ohio. Cincinnati, more specifically, where he might get a job on their Police Dept. That's the only place he'll ever be where he can beat somebody.
