BISBEE - The three illegal immigrants involved in the carjacking and beating of a woman and her daughter early Thursday morning in the Hereford area have been charged by the Cochise County Sheriff's Department.
Each man was charged with the same offenses involved in the incident in which they reportedly pulled a 35-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter from a vehicle as the pair was about to leave to take the girl to school, said Carol Capas, a spokeswoman for the department.
She said the charges each of the three face are armed robbery, aggravated robbery, first-degree burglary, motor vehicle theft, conspiracy, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated assault.
The names of the accused, all Mexican nationals who entered the United States illegally, are Alfredo Meza Beltran, 23; Arthur Hernandez-Hernandez, 18; and Andres Enrique Valenzuela-Valenzuela, 22, Capas said.
Their first appearance before a judge was Friday and they were each given a $75,000 bond. The trio, who are being held in the Cochise County Jail, also are on a federal immigration hold.

Bad sign of our times
On Thursday, a Hereford resident and her daughter were attacked at their home, they were assaulted and their vehicle was taken.
The culprits, authorities believe, are three illegal immigrants, all from Mexico.
The incident is a sad sign of our times. Unfortunately, these kinds of acts could easily become commonplace in our county if residents and law enforcement aren't on guard.
Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever said Thursday that residents should be careful and watch out for suspicious activity.
He also said he is going to be forming a volunteer body to help keep a close eye on school bus stops in the more rural areas - areas where the illegal immigrants are close to schoolchildren. It's another good idea.
But, rightly, the sheriff said things won't get better until the federal government secures the U.S.-Mexico border.
That's where we urge our lawmakers and current presidential candidates to take note. The border is a dangerous place. And if we're not proactive on our side, it's quite possible it could become even more dangerous.
Without federal help, nothing will get better. Local law enforcement agencies are not made to deal with the flow of illegal immigrants or the problems that come with it.
We see the illegal immigration problems in other ways, too. We see it in the waste-lined trails that run through our mountains to the hospitals bearing the burden of treating illegal immigrants without knowing if they'll be reimbursed for it.
But the scariest is possibility of greater violence. We need to deal with it before it's too late.

Will Mr. Bush's amnesty not only get them out of jail but make them full citizens of the US?

Not in this county. They're going to spend some time as guest of the state in the GRAY-BAR LODGE.

As I said on the thread for the first story, this happened really close to us. Less than a mile.
We know the folks across the street from the lady and walk past there almost every morning. Hubby won't let me go anywhere without the pistol now. My kids can't go horseback riding or anything without an adult.
As soon as we get the remodeling done on the house, we will probably be moving to Wyoming. I know we won't get away from it totally, but the takeover seems to be slower there. It is just getting too dangerous in the border war zone.

We need more illegals to commit the crimes Americans won't commit.

Maybe if the original owner had been more justice oriented and had instituted a guest driver program, this could have all been avoided.
I hope this unfortunate incident doesn't interfere with their transition to documented guest worker and then on to citizenship.

I AM SHOCKED. OUR PRESIDENT TOLD US THEY BRING "THEIR VALUES, THEIR FMILY AND THEIR FAITH". This story MUST be a fabrication. Illegals are wonderful people who contribute so much to America!!! [/bushbot]

How the h*ll is it that our "leaders" cannot see the terrible injustice to Americans of allowing these crimals to pour across our borders, taking whatever they want, often leaving devastation in their wake? Do they really think we're so stupid as to believe that the majority of these people are only here to do "jobs Americans won't do?" I cannot even imnagine the horror of living along that border, especially if you're trying to raise kids.

They just don't want to see it.
Hell even Kolbe's own brother can't get him to listen. We start by booting Kolbe out and Bencke in, then we hammer Jihad-NapolitRENO with letters and calls until she uses the AZ National Guard to close the four borders or we vote her butt out.

Then send them back to Mexico with a new suit and a ten dollar bill in thier pockets like the "old days".

Nah! Let them be cutting KhudZhu along the sides of the roads in the south. The orientals love the stuff and think it a great delicacy to eat. Most southerners would like to serve up the idiot that first brought the stuff over here.
See this way when we sell it to the orientals we get money, a chain gang working 24 X 7 X 365 to get rid of the stuff garners all of the souths votes, and we solve at least partially our illegal problem.

In the old days a mans wife and children were 'off limits' to attack unless you were trying to commit assisted suicide.

KhudZhuI don't see much of the stuff here.
I wonder how GWB would feel if this crime wave by illegals that going on in Cochise County was happening in Crawford, Texas instead. To bad you can't just ship the illegals to the Bush or McCain ranches.

I guess that the illegals were assaulting women and children that Americans are just to lazy to assault.
