If your objective is to win for Bush you may want to try another tactic, because the insults are only going to push wary people away. You can't oush people away that have no interest in being close. This is a vital election and if the "base" once again has to be begged to vote for a president more conservative than Ronald Reagan then there is no common ground to be found.

" Don't pull the Reagan crap with me. I know what Reagan did and he makes GW look like a piker when it came to caving in to the liberals."
Very Interesting response. I never would have expected it. I think I just had a major paradigm shift. So much for you being a conservative defending what you consider to be the best choice. You don't seem to like conservative's very much do you ? No wonder you work so hard to fight those who are.

Because he/she doesn't want them to leave. Yes, it does get old reading the same old question over and over like a broken record.

n 1992 the "base" went to Perot. In 1996 the "base" went to Perot again or just stayed at home. In 2000 the "base" voted for PJB or stayed at home. In 2002 the GOP house and senate rode the coat tails of the "liberal Bush" reversing the history of in power parties losing seats in mid term elections. In 2004 the "base" is once again advocating 3rd party or staying at home. Screw the "base"./
Why does it seem like you're leaving something out? Bush gets the credit fot 2002, btw, but I submit that it was more a result of 9/11 and his strong performance in the WoT than it was for his leftward swings. I also haven't seen any evidence that conservatives didn't turn out for him 2002. And no, the base didn't vote for Pat or stay home in 2000, though turnout could have been higher. Anyway, what are you leaving out? 1994, which of course was the year that a highly energized base delivered the greatest GOP electoral victory of our lifetimes. We are no longer in the Goldwater Era. Energize the base and the swing voters will come.

Here is what Reagan did that GW has not done
signed the first handgun registration bill in California
Voted for FDR 4 times and claimed him as his model for the presidency
Zeroed out any real tax relief by closing "loop holes" and Means testing of deductions
Raised taxes to the tune of 500 billion dollars to date and called them revenue enhancements
Signed off on the largest FICA withholding bill in history
Pulled troops out of Lebanon when casualties were taken
Publicly lobbied for the Brady Bill after leaving office

Hey! It works both ways, ye know! *LOL*

But how does that explain that you are willing to run people off who do not agree with you 100%.. Everyone has to give and take. Why do you think people like me and Revel have to do all the giving in?
You don't care if you lose votes as long as you stand tough?

In other words, you're not interested in their vote so much as you want to convert them to your cult. I am not interested in how anyone votes. People do idiotic things all the time. "True conservatives" just do an above average amount of idiotic things election after election..
