TRENTON -- Race and class have conspired to deny New Jersey's minorities a voice in politics, one political watchdog group said this week.
In fact, New Jersey's African Americans are shut out of the political process because whites outspend them 85-to-1 in political donations, according to "Color of Money" report issued by New Jersey Citizen Action.

Probably outspend them about 85:1 in tax payments as well.
Who should have a greater political voice, the contributors, or the beneficiaries ??
I have yet to see a study showing a correlation between campaign spending and electoral success.
Correction: According to the study--
White zip codes outspend non-white zip codes.
Are you suggesting that the vote of a rich man count for more than that of a poor man?
When they DO vote, it tends to be for a lying liberal Democrat who promises to keep giving them one benefit after another at my expense as a result of an immoral tax system that makes Robin Hood look like Ebenezer Scrooge.
Who do you think Kerry/Dean are trying to get to vote for them ??
Look at the red/blue map -- is it any wonder that almost all inner-city urban areas voted Democrat.
Democrats win by building coalitions of people who ought to be disenfranchised.
In the last 10 years, my cumulative federal income tax reaches a low 7-digit number.
NO, I don't think the vote of a scum bag whose whole existence is predicated on a government-provided beneficiary lifestyle ought to be able to go to the polls and effectively cancel my vote.
The founding fathers thought voters should be "freeholders." That is that they own land or a business and that to enjoy the benefit of franchise they ought to be contributors to society.
I see nothing wrong with the original concept.
Obviously, in our culture today, we would not want to deny women and minorities, who are taxpayers, the right to vote.
.../ebonics off
What I find hard to believe is that so many women, minorities, etc. that actually do succeed on their own merit and without government assistance are often the ones screaming the loudest that the government doesn't do enough to "help" the "downtrodden".
Look, these Democrats keep wanting to amplify class division and create class warfare.
I think we ought to challenge 'em full bore on the issue. I'm tired of paying for the voluntary, degenerate lifestyles of folks who are using their votes to take money out of my pocket.
Ol' Alexis d'Tocqueville said something to the effect, 'The American Republic will endure until the politicians learn they can bribe the people with their own money.'
Well, it's already gone far beyond that.
The tax code is so progressive, that the top 5% of income pay 50% of the taxes and the top 50% of income pays 95% of the taxes.
So, by intentional design, Congress has put the people actually paying the bills in the minority.
It's a no-win scenario, the top 50% in income won't vote solely on the single issue of unfair taxation. So, bottom line -- we're paying damn near all the bills and we can't even form a voting bloc large enough to protest the socialist tyranny.
The politicians aren't using our money to bribe US, they're using OUR money to bribe the 50% who pay practically NO taxes.
It's absolutely criminal.
When I hear Leno, or Hannity do their man on the street interviews, I just shake my head -- the war is lost, we're just engaged in some delaying skirmishes while we retreat.
The average voter, dumbed-down by liberal schools is simply too ignorant to know any better.
And the media keeps 'em that way.
I'm feeling particularly cynical today - can't help it.
"When I see some spaced-out, dope-smoking, able-bodied, unemployed filthy hippie ignorant illiterate school-dropout woman pushing out another illigitimate baby"
She would not be able to vote for someone promising a cure for all her problems if it was not a welfare state. End of problem and we don't have to remove their vote. JMO
In the absence of a welfare state, I would be loathe to deny any adult's right to vote.
