I understand what your saying Mudboy. I'm not joining with any leftist groupies to join in the anti-war movement. I feel this war was unnecessary but I am watching quietly and watching all the leftist scumbags make fools of themselves. I watch these leftist groups attack Bush Jr. which makes them look bad. Yes, there may be some good in Bush but right now, I am just quietly observing all taking place in this administration. You will never never see me joining with a group of commies protesting this war. I just watch what is going on quietly. Because in my view, Mudboy, these are the sign of the times ahead. President Bush is not "Jr.". To be so, his name and his father's would have to be identical.

Secondly, you are NOT watching quietly. You've chosen to come to a thread that has military families participating in it. They NEED our support now. They DO appreciate this man, they do NOT need someone coming in here and putting him down.

Might I call to your attention the fact that this thread has been on FR for 3 years as a means of positive comments about President Bush, and discussion of his activities?

While there is discussion, and we may disagree with the President and each other, those whose purpose is to come and bash the President are removed from the thread.

It has been this way from the beginning.

Your purpose is clearly to bash the Commander in Chief of my son, and the husband of another who use this thread as a refuge and support team while our loved ones are in Iraq.

Please consider this a word to the wise, and leave the thread.

Every Guard member I know is worried what will happen if Bush is not re-elected...Kerry has already said he plans to make Iraq under UN control...no US soldier wants that....everything gained in Iraq will have been for naught...

There you go! You finally admitted WMD HAVE NOT BEEN FOUND. The REASON WHY we had to go invade Iraq was because it was confirmed that Hussein had WMD. Now we aren't so sure. Which is it? Can't have it both ways.

You make a very serious valid point there, mystery-ak. Kerry is a dangerous man. I don't trust that guy one bit. Nor do I like Howard Dean, or Wesley Clark. They all stink.

Goldilucky, let me enlighten you. I have been an enlisted member of the Air National Guard for close to 22 years. (I actually retired and then unretired after 9-11). I am familiar with all the ins and outs of National Guard duty. What President Bush did back in 72-73 was and is a perfectly normal and acceptable method for ensuring the performance of required duty days for Guard members who wind up with out of state committments. I have personally worked with members from other states that have performed duty with our unit while working in our state. The fact that a commander, who probably worked in another building and was in meetings all day didn't see a lowly LT that couldn't even fly while there doesn't surprise me in the least. Commanders can hardly be expected to know the doings of 1,000 people under his command. People are coming forward to say that they saw him, worked with him, met him, even dated him while he was in Alabama.

As for his records, they may be incomplete, but...
I would ask you if you could produce complete and full documentation of all work you performed 30 years ago? 20? 15? 10? The military was not computerized then. In fact military records are lost ALL THE TIME, I know this from experience. I keep a duplicate of my shot record for this reason, rather than get my arms shot full of shots I've already had.

Finally, when he got out early, this is also a simple act for a multitude of reasons. At that time, the War was actually over and pilots were flooding Guard units. A pilot willing to leave and make room for one with combat experience would have been willingly let go, no problem.

So, before you believe every word the biased media throws out there, please do some very simple research and take some experienced voices into account.
