I think Ann Coulter has become counterproductive for the conservative cause. She repeatedly allows her own inflammatory statements to become the issue, which enables liberals to avoid talking about the real issues. I think her ego has gotten too big; she seems almost self-destructive in the cavalier way she tosses out these extreme comments which garner her plenty of media attention but simultaneously allow conservatives to be branded as uncivil and inaccurate. (Yeah, yeah, I know people on the Left get away with extreme statements all the time, but we conservatives don't have that luxury. We have to play by a higher standard.)

I think that it is very naive to think that liberals will address this issues "if only conservatives will play nice." BS! W rolled over for them repeatedly and each time the libs kicked him again...

Give'em hell Ann!

Liberals think they are the intellectuals on any given issue and I am only too happy for Ann or anyone else to show them their folly. I have never seen Ann condescend to anyone who did not need to be put in their place, based on their own haughty attitudes. Jesus Christ pulled no punches with the pharisees and other so-called "learned scholars" of his day, who should have known better as well. Christ did reserve his kindness and gentleness for those weaker- intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.....and so should those who call themselves Christians. However, Ann and other Christians should not shirk their responsibility to proclaim the truth to those who think they know a different truth than God's Word.

Ann is purposely inflammatory because she wants liberals and everyone else to read her column. If she were diplomatic in her rants, no one would read her or gain the wisdom she seeks to convey.

And that has gotten us where, exactly? Country club conservatism has not won the day.
